>>2247916>>2248817>>2249409Wallpapers like these make me feel melancholic and lonely, but also nostalgic for some reason. I don't know why.

>>2248817Anyone have a 2k version of this pape? Or a 4k version?Would be supremely appreciative if anyone has one.
>>2253869
>>2259257You actually have the original size, so if you want higher rez upscaling is the only option. This is the result from Waifu2x.https://files.catbox.moe/5xdqda.png
>>2257879Yeah, I kinda am one myself
>>2249409Images like these really hit me with sad nostalgia. Reminds me of when I was 16 and I had just gotten my first job washing dishes downtown at a thai food place. I would get off work fairly late, so it was always dark and usually no one was around. The feeling I got while walking a couple blocks to my car was so unique. Everything felt so still. Sometimes I'd walk past my car and wander around a park that kind of looks like picrel just so I could bask in that feeling longer. In those moments it was like I was the only person in the whole world. Wish I could go back and relive those experiences while hand in hand with my waifu...
>>2247916i like it
>>2253664Hendrix was always overrrated.
>>2256115All of the images are 404ing. Any actual good archive for /w/?

>>2262190drop the link anon
Anyone's got a good tutorial of how to edit these?
>>2264949just use the select options to cut out the character and move them to a transparent layer above the background
i can't help myself on the thread
>>2264965Everyone knows how to do that. I was talking about how to edit the lightning, etc to make it look actually good.
>>2264967eyeball the lighting and adjust it accordingly until it looks natural. i use the curves tool on Paint.NET for to adjust the brightness and exposure. the real trick to make a picture look passable is to just add noise/JPEG artifacts to both the background and character until both are consistent with each other. granted, my edits (picrel and >>2262190)aren't really professional, but i got a good amount of views from using them as thumbnails for my youtube videos
another one i made recently, it came out okay
random low-quality one i threw together just now as a proof of concept >>2264978>for to adjusti really need to start proofreading my posts
>>2264979Nicely done
>>2259475You had a chill little story about reminiscing of your teen work days and decided to fucking ruin it by adding the fact that you want a waifu. Please, kill yourself. And before you say anything like "This is an anime thread what do you expect", or "Get off this website if you don't like it". I still don't care, so again, please, kill yourself.
>>2264711Love this one. Thanks anon.

There's this dude on vk who goes by MS INSANITY that has been doing these types of edits for more than a decade now. I have upwards of a thousand of them saved, I'll post some of my favourites itt.
