I am a fan of him but I'll be honest he was acting like he was in his retirement arc and only doing easy streams without posting that he's live or anything else needed to grow, the last big event that he did was a pokemon soul link with Michi Mochievee in september but before that there was nothing for almost a full year.

There is some psychology difference between Western fans and Asian fans. The Western fans care mostly about content and quality. The Asian fans heavily obsess with corporate brands and logos. Male vtubers just had a very small window of opportunity of appealing to a wider western audience. I think people like Doki even joked about people wanting "brotubers" once, maybe when she was at NijiEN since I dont even remember when she said that, but its just the truth.
