It's Workers and Resources because no other game has a better blend between city builder and logistics management. Tropico comes in second. Everybody else has some issues:

    - Anno feels like an RTS instead of a city builder - SimCityState:Skylines and the like are basically all map painters.
    - Every Banished or Dorf fort clone (all the way up to songs of syx) has easy logistics and a lot of them hit the comfiness criterion but they all feel like you're building a fortress town, not a real city or state.
    - Plan B, Captain of Industry and Infraspace feel more like Factorio than a city builder.

The main reason why W&R isn't comfy is not because of all the things you have to remember, but because the UI is ass; it's a pain to make things line up nicely and you can't drag and drop stuff like in anno or C:S.

As for the future, Paradox shit the bed with C:S2, so it will be a contest between CityState:Metropolis (which probably will suck because Andy Sztark needs to inject political theory into his games) and the game from the 3Division (which will be slavjank).

Claude is amazing. I asked it what Risk needed to be a good strategy game, and then asked it to make me a clone with those features. Now I have Risk but with an economy, Risk Spreadsheet edition.

Against the Storm has 70% of on steam right now and its the best city builder with complex economy ive ever played.
    >>
    >>2505369
it's not a city builder and it's certainly not comfy

Against the Storm literally has a time limit as one of its main mechanics. That's the opposite of comfy, it's a stress simulator.
