Normies wait for GTA 6, I wait for TF3.
    >>
    >>2492701
It looks so fucking good dude, I hate that my PC broke down and I can't run it as of now.
    >>
    >>2492701
I just don't like that they again didn't make a real map that extends beyond the borders.
Liked to immerse myself but the hard cutoff with the endless void below just takes you out of it
    >>

    >It's coming lads, are you ready?
no, my 8-year-old shitbox can't handle it
    >>
    >>2492701
Yes, my internal goyim would even buy a pre-order right now. It looks pretty overall, but sometimes you feel it's still a remastered TPF2.
    >>
    >>2493151
    >but sometimes you feel it's still a remastered TPF2.
it's still a "tycoon" game because even after 40 years, we still can't stop remaking OpenTTD, replete with the very basic, gamified signal block system, instead of a city builds-itselfer where you are tasked with slotting the transportation in around existing buildings.

Subway builder was a neat idea but the reviews say it's a bit shit.
    >>
    >>2493209
just vibecode a game like that bro

and that's not even subway builder... it's mini metro
    here's subway builder
    >>
I'm looking through people playing who got it early, but so far I'm really leaning to a big fat No and saving my money instead. The simple fact Paradox got its greasy hands on TF3 already made me very wary that it will just become DLC Fever 3, and honestly from the gameplay I see, it doesn't even get to be TF2 remastered, it's more like TF2 with ENB.
    >>
    >>2493209
    >instead of a city builds-itselfer where you are tasked with slotting the transportation in around existing buildings.
this would be a true transport tycoon game. I always disliked the city builder aspects in these games. Makes them feel like a sandbox game or god game even. Freight Tycoon had the right idea. shame it's a buggy mess and way too superficial and easy. Still liked it and there's nothing else like it afaik.
    >>
    >>2495508
The UI/UX improvements alone may make this game worth it. And the fact that they split the tut from the campaign. I'm a campaign enjoyer and TF2's campaign was an insult desu.

I play lots of RPGs and also like the campaigns in RTSs.
It's nice having goals you need to work towards to.
I do like playing sandboxes, but they tend to fizzle out before I'm satisfied with the results.
    >>
    >>2493102
They specifically decided to focus on modelling every single agent in the game rather than make the map bigger. Mindboggling decision.
    >>
    >>2493209
    >a city builds-itselfer where you are tasked with slotting the transportation in around existing buildings.
That's the whole premise of Cities in Motion 1.
    >>
    >>2492701
I haven't looked it up, but I really hope it isn't a boring distance-based economy like in TF2.

    >>
    >>2496716
This. The more I look at it, the more it's just TF2 with a couple mods. I'm still skipping this anyway because I'm not giving a single dime to fucking Paradox of all publishers
    >>
    >>2496721
Typical black women slop and that opening gay ass message made me close the the game, If the rest of the game is actually woke trash might as well refund it.
    >>
    >>2496716
    >>2496729
There were plenty of announcement previews showcasing it.

    >>2496723

Dunno what you're on about, but living rent free in your head seems like.

That being said, I'm short on money right now, so link where?
    >>
I pirated it and honestly it feels fucking ass. The maps are tiny, industry distribution is schizophrenic, the usual. I can't believe it's been 30 years and they still expect me to pay for a game that's just as limited as vanilla TTD.
    >>
    >>2496679
    He's right.
    >>
I played a bit of the game, I think some of the reviews on Steam are a bit excessive.
Performance i had no issue with it for now, but I don't have a lot of stuff going on for now and it's absolutely not comparable as cs2 as someone said it was shit at launch i remember the 100 GB save files. It lags only when it loads a new part of the map same thing as TF2, maybe less this time.
Ui is fine tf2 ui wasn't that great as well. Maybe the cargo management page is a bit too simplified. Vehicle selection i don't really care; there are mods for that. The new mechanics and transportation methods are really cool; spoilage and passenger comfort is very nice addition.
Historical accuracy: I don't think many games with era game mechanics can keep historical accuracy; I lost hope on this a long time ago.
Underground rails are a bit meh they could have implemented a metro system. Maybe modders can fix it.
I saw many people complaining about the one-click placement system just open the fucking settings.
It's mainly an update from TF2, which i don't mind, is a bit on the expensive side.
Thank you for reading my blog i just wanted to bump this thread
    >>
    >$50

Ahahaha TF2 was barely worth the price this shit definitely ain't.
    >>
I played the first one a long time ago and then I played a bit of the 2nd one last year.
They just aren't that good. It feels too simplistic like Transport Tycoon.
    >>
    >>2492701
Did the fucking retards seriously cut steam trains and shit that is pre-1900?
    >>

    same one as in tpf2
    >>2497997
those are available for free as "official mods"
what you can't get at the moment is the vehicles they've cut after 1900
    >>
    >>2496966
If you're short on money, might want to keep the rent free quips to a minimum
    >>
the sad thing is i played the TF2 campaign expecting we wuz buses and trains n shiet like literally transport tycoon deluxe and the game gave me fucking horse carriages and the game even bugged out on me
    >>
It seems like it's still the same old, and a distance-based economy...
    >>
Oh, it looks like they have tried to do something about needlessly long logistics.
Using slow cargo ships and hoarding fish has tanked my delivery time to 0

    >>
    >>2499222
completely modern depot in 1905 campaign, how even did they let this pass?
    >>
It's sad that money is too easy to gain on the hardest difficulty. The loans are childish where you only pay back ~110% back. I liked it more in Railroad Tycoon or whatever where a 5-10% interest loan would bankrupt you, having to pay up 2-3x the loan amount back

Yeah, I got a bit traumatized after >>2498824 , but you can actually haul food quite a long distance before they expire. My problem seemed to have been too much supply and my trucks then stuck delivering spoiled food forever
    >>
    >>2499331
That's a shame that it's still true on the hardest difficulties. They definitely need to tweak the numbers. The subsidies and industries paying for resources without outputting further trivializes the economy. I'm rolling in tens of millions a year into the game and it must kills my desire to play. In the earlier games you needed to build up slowly and maintenance costs were always a huge drain.
    >>
    >>2499530
I found this setting where you need to manually drag the income sliders down. Very hard defaults at 100%, so halving it should make the game pretty balanced (I think it effectively cuts your profit margin down to a third). VH also doesn't have subsidies enabled.
So yeah, I think tuning these down should make the game a lot more fun

playing TF2 and passengers aren't joining this convoy. I am too small-brained to play this game

Man I am so tempted to get this JUST because of freight trams. I love those tight little FREIGHT networks!

Connect that to passenger train station.
Alternatively have a single line passing through residential, commercial and industrial districts.

i reached the 2010 but then my road expenses were too high. The game forbids you from building roads if you want to be positive on road earnings. i cut all my deposits all my stations all my stops in half, which saved me. but then my actual road maintenance became too high. The only solution to compensate road expenses is to scale other things. It's crazy i cannot build a highway or a specialized station or i will go into massive debt. Same for any kind of infrastructure: why is a bus stop 25k per stop? Why a train station with 4 stops reach 1mil per year? It makes it impossible to use 90% of the trains available to make a line profitable. If I go above 1.5 mil in train running costs with a 90% load average, I barely have money to cover 1 train station with 2 platforms. And on this line i have 3 trains running. Like i cannot seem to make something profitable late game that covers the station expenses, which are already cut down to the bare minimum. It's not fun if i have to build Frankenstein trains to save some money so i can make my cities expand.
    >>
    >>2508461
I keep seein a guy on twitch with a huge positive balance. He just spammed trams first and then added rail for fun later though. Trams make him mega profit.
    >>
    >>2496733
how can you call yourself a man, when you get rattled so easily, lmao
    >>
    >>2505387
The noise mechanics in TF3 are such a pain in the ass. The economy simulation is somehow worse and it basically punishes the player for nothing. Cargo timing is also a huge hassle and makes it almost impossible to profitably supply certain goods.
