    >the player always gets in the vote
disregarding this blatantly false claim, as a king, you cannot distribute fiefs equally nor pick and choose whomst've to enfeoff. what's the point of being the fucking king?
and there is some bug going on where a clan would always be on the vote and have the support of everyone despite owning too many fiefs and none of the clans on the vote are the ones with 1 fief only.
and everyone being on the vote makes the game dynamic because everyone will hate you for not giving them the fief unless they're good natured.

There's also a sequel to this called "never second in Rome."

The sequel has you start as a three year experienced centurion during Caesar's beginning of his invasion of Gaul.

    >>2487336
It is physically impossible to not want to play Swadia or Rhodoks. in warband.
Sometimes I want to play as the Sarranids or Khergits. Then you get destroyed by desert or steppe bandits and the early game is hellishly annoying and you have to use every ounce of willpower to not restart your save.

It’s the opposite for me, I’ve never played as swadia or bannerlord imperials. my favorites are sarranids and khergits, early game aint that tough just recruit archers and have a horse yourself.

I don’t have a faction i always go back to, i disperse my plays pretty evenly except with the middle faction. i’ve actually been wanting to finally try an imperial run, maybe try playing the game as intended and unite the empire. I was never one for story or main quests, i like doing own thing which is why these sandbox games appeal to me.

    >>What is Gaul, Britons etc.
The Romans literally installed the culture of their conquered enemies into their own official pantheon, anon. The Romans regularly respected old and ancestral Gods of all cultures. Romano-Britons and Gauls continued worshipping their unique Gods and practising their unique ceremonial calendar. We wouldn't know anything about the Gallic calendar, and by extension the wider Western Celtic calendar, if it hadn't been recorded in lead during the Roman era.
The only thing the Romans did unfortunately destroy was the Druid orders of Gaul and Britain and so their knowledge and philosophies are gone forever. The Druids never wrote anything down. The only source we have are the Romans and the Romans are not a trustworthy source because they hated the Gauls and the British Druids were a regular source of opposition.

INT is the dump stat. All you need is one scholar/engineer and one healer/surgeon to cover your parties needs and as they advance you can switch their roles to level them faster. Leadership and Tactics are the two most important skills for the PC.

No to my understanding in Bonerlord the only real party skills are the four assigned in the clan tab which are scouting, steward, medicine and engineering. Your companions tactic skills are for when they run their own party.

I-I-I play as a female character because uh uh, I like to play archer, and as a archer having a small hitbox is very important so you won't get hit by projectiles! The female character model is 75% of the size of a male character and then you can also make yourself the minimum hight that way noone will be able to hit you during a seige! Haha! It's all just meta gaming as I obviously don't fantasize about being a 20 year old girl cauae I play on fast mode with life and death enabled since I like my words dynamic! This means, to play optimally I had to offered myself up for marriage and get impregnated back to back a few times to make sure I have backup characters to play as incase I die, which is obviously not because I have a breeding kink! It looks like completely normal chainmail damage texture made by human hands, not to mention a whole bunch of chainmail in Bannerlord predates AI usage in games being really a thing and (except the really obviously old ones like half the Vlandian stuff) it's all the same.
    >holes would be missing rings
Not neccesarily, at least not in the way I think you are implying. Thicker weaves will have multiple rings overlaying each other, rings can deform and TW chainmail textures also love to have stains on them. The Nord thing does admitelly look very chaotic there on the sleeve though, but TW also likes dogshit armor especially for Battanians so I wouldn't be surprised if it spilled onto Nords. I'd need to take a look at it myself properly (you can zoom in much closer using the banner editor) to tell.
Also, why the fuck would they even use AI for chainmail when they already have tons of chainmail textures they could reuse and they evidently don't give a shit about poor wrapping.
    >>
    >>2490945
    >It looks like completely normal chainmail damage texture made by human hands
just take a look again at the last one, this is a clusterfuck of random lines that don't even make circles. A child might do that, a professional wouldn't. And proper mail textures can be bought easily too. I do agree that there could be layers but even if that was the case it wouldn't look like that. Other pictures show the same thing but more localized
    >Also, why the fuck would they even use AI for chainmail when they already have tons of chainmail textures they could reuse
TW made it so each culture has it's own mail texture, and that's for me one of the signs that they used AI on it : the nords do not have a unified mail texture like vlandians or sturgians, each armour has a unique texture
on a side note, the different mail is an easy way to see how different the factions are from their original artistic vision. the banner knight uses a sturgian armour, same as the aserai veteran infantry. And it is kinda historically accurate, different places did mail differently, japanese mail for exemple is known to be dogshit
    >>
What would you do if a Rhodok came up to you and slapped your willy?
    >>
    >>2487336
I like Swadia because it's the most "normal" faction. Also, I like Vlandia, which is basically just Swadia.
    >>
I still to this day have not made my own kingdom or won calradia for one faction in native warband without cheats. It's not levelling up and maintaining parties that bothers me its trying to rack up lots and lots of denars. 10,000s of denars, I mean.
    >>
    >>2491164
Yeah, the early grind is mental in Warband. My method is to put 4 points in Prisoner Management and hire 30 Mamlukes to capture Sea Raiders from Rivacheg's shore for ransom. 20 = 2000 denars. I buy the Dyeworks in Rivacheg which produces 1000 denars in revenue, which is the exception as most towns only give between 400 to 600 in revenue, Suno gives negative.
    >>
    >>2491213
Usually I kill bandits and do guild master work for a while until I have a party of 10+ elite troops. Then I just go around the rim of Calradia in circles trading and killing bandits and occasionally working for a lord. Then I get a quest I can't finish, fail it, and feel an intense desire to quit.
    >>
    >>2491214
I hate those tracking bandit groups missions, I especially hate those cow-herding missions, though those are doable, just tedious and you end up losing money due to travel time. Warband is a very meta-heavy game, which is bad game design. If you try and play the game properly, you end up just getting fucked most of the time. Most people don't truly understand the extent Bannerlord improved on native Warband.
    >>
    >>2491223
    >tracking bandit groups missions

    >>
    >>2492897
They probably all suffered burnout and dipped. It's easy to blame TW for endless patches but nobody said these mods had to have radically different mechanics or scripting from vanilla. It'd be better to have a mod than just giving up due to feature creep and wasting time in a discord server.

War Of The Roses mod with its Italian name I cannot remember is in active development. They released a video of a full trailer just a few weeks ago and it looks great. It's supposed to be all of Europe at some later date but when it releases it will just be England.
    >>
    >>2492687
    >>2492897
lot of turnover in the teams (and new members generally can't handle advanced tasks) + few members + members being split between multiple total conversions + higher standards than TW + TW updates mean the dev pace is glacial
also many peoples are underestimating the time needed to do some stuffs, the TOR world map for exemple is at least several hundreds of hours of work (being very conservative here, it's most likely well over 2 thousands and it's not even half done). doing a castle/city scene is easily a month of work not counting the debugging. Even with frameworks on the coding side it takes time : even simpler stuff like adapting the character creation is still dozens of hours of work despite having an open source ready to edit version.

    >>2493644
    >They probably all suffered burnout and dipped.
quite a few mods did, brytenwalda for example
    >It's easy to blame TW for endless patches but nobody said these mods had to have radically different mechanics or scripting from vanilla
I disagree, a conversion set during the crusades without a religion system would be retarded. Same with a Warhammer/GoT/LotR mod without any fantasy mechanics. Or an 18th century conversion without gunpowder.
It also ignores that most of the total conversions started during the early access, where the game was empty (well, more than it is now). Over 6 years after release, the three empires still have the exact same fucking inheritance system, despite it being the reason why they split.
A total conversion where you get bored in 5 hours is not something you'd want to publish when you spent months if not years of your life working on it

    >>
    >>2493726

    >>
    >>2493726
    >>2493737
also I remember seeing this mod in like 2021 so rushed is not the word I would use
    >>
    >>2493737
I don't mind slop so long as effort has gotten into the modelling and textures. The war of the roses mod could have slop in it but you wouldn't tell because the models and environments look so pretty and well thought-out.
    >>
    >>2493740
sadly since 3d modeller are the rarest modders to find (alongside world map makers) and also tend to be commissioned instead of creating for free, 3D models AIs are the current focus of several total conversions leads. Vibe coding is already the default.
Good news is since manpower is so scarce, most leads dable in every parts of a mod so they are knowledgeable enough to see if a code or model is too low in quality

I agree with those but on the contrary, War of the Roses or Shokuho don't really need to be radically different enough to take so long to develop. The latter in particular had most assets and the world map done in a short timeframe but they fiddled around with features like ships and battlefield looting that would just bite them further down the road.
    >>
    >>2494274
I'd argue that at least some form of feudalism à la bannerking (some of the features not all of them) would still be needed, as well as some diplomacy improvements

    >>
    >>2498746
is it even possible to prevent snowballing in a game where you conquer stuff?

Theoretically you could have something like crusader kings where it's harder to keep a large empire because you have to manage relations and inheritances between many different rulers of the sub kingdoms of your empire but bannerlord lacks the foundation for that.
    >>
    >>2486151
I play Warband on occasion, mostly for the Vasnar mod. It's a very fun Dark Fantasy mod that's focused on the RPG stuff. My one complaint with it is that it lacks a lot of the QoL mods most conversions have, and the author is very resistant to adding them.

I don't mind the invasions desu they should be in all mods. all factions get them and the harder ones are usually patrolling areas controlled by multiple factions except the empire's(although they deserve it since the authors are obviously romefags and they made them OP and have a gorillion knighthood orders).
The elf thing is really gay and they should fix it, I understand that they wanted to make it harder but lore wise it makes no sense whatsoever. Elves say they are patrolling their forests so why are they attacking caravans and peasants in the middle of pendor? I always use that tweak that make them less schizo and just attack lords at least but they should be neutral to the player IMO and have some script where if you trespass in their lands you lose relations instead.

A mod that no one has thought of yet, for some fucking reason:
    >Lords/Clans do not defect to other factions
    >Remove any bonuses to party size from additional settlements
The advantage of conquering additional territory should be additional taxation, as well as additional sources of recruitment. However, this carries with it the expected consequences: Greater administrative strain, while also becoming increasingly hard to properly manage.

damn i haven't been following the 1.5x patch notes that have come out since the initial 1.5 beta and just decided to check some of them out and im really liking what im seing so far

they finally fixed persuasion attempts so you dont get permanently locked out if you dont pass a billion checks perfectly every time, so you no longer have to save scum over and over and over again to get the wife you want. you can actually court her naturally over time

i do think they might have over-corrected by reducing the number of checks you have to pass though

im so happy theyre actually going through and addressing all of the QOL issues like this or the party controls and whatnot. a shitload of really frustrating issues are about to be wiped from the game once this patch drops

    >i'm pretty sure you can retreat and run away if things start going south
Actually, I think you can run away, even if you get attacked. Though, I don't know what the prerequisite are, because I doubt you can start the battle and then immediately retreat. I remember some times when I was given the option to "Leave the Battle" after getting knocked down, or maybe I'm misremembering.

Haven't played much on higher dificulties, but it seems pretty important no matter the difficulty to have better tiered troops than your opponent. Terrorizing the sea raiders while buying up salt to sell down south has always been my go-to. As other anon said sea raiders can be ransomed for a lot, but looted equipment can go for a lot more than 100 denars per raider if you are lucky. If nothing else they have equipment that will last you a long time.
I've also seen salt prices as low as 70 in the region whereas fair-market value is around 250, and while it rarely goes above in my experience, you can get even better deals if you're lucky. You might see better absolute value swings if you're trading something like silk or spices, but good luck finding consistent sources at consistent mark-downs of that. Salt is the good to trade in Warband as it strikes the balance of availability and value.
    >>
    >>2491164
My approach is to hire Mamlukes, order them to only use blunt weapons, and capture Sea Raiders for ransom. I repeat this process until I've brought a dyework enterprise in every town (except Suno, and two others I can't remember). Denars no longer become an issue, and when you have enough enterprises, the profits from the enterprises can be used to buy other enterprises until you brought one in all 22 towns.

    >Steam Workshop Approval-Only Publishing System

    >Greetings modders!
    >
    >The Mount & Blade II: Bannerlord Steam Workshop has transitioned to an approval-only publishing system. As a result, all newly submitted mods and updates to existing mods must be reviewed and approved before they can become publicly available.
    >
    >This measure follows an uptick in community reports of potentially malicious mods on the Steam Workshop.
    >
    >We expect this transition to cause a temporary backlog of mods awaiting approval, and we hope to speed up the process in a few weeks.
    >
    >We understand that this measure may be frustrating for both modders and players, particularly when updates are needed to address compatibility issues, fix bugs, or support time-sensitive community projects. However, protecting our community from bad actors must remain our priority.
    >
    >Please note that while we are working to strengthen publishing safeguards for user-generated content, we cannot guarantee the safety of mods downloaded from the Steam Workshop or other platforms. If you choose to download any file to your personal computer, please remember to keep your anti-virus up to date, review whether the author is known and trustworthy and whether other users have raised any concerns.

When building a character there are clear meta choices but variety is so much larger in bannerlord that they don't really matter. Just come up with a backstory or concept and roleplay it. The game isn't hard. Smithing is one such meta choice but I find it really boring and it makes the game too easy when it's already easy. Everyone has their own house rules and restrictions because otherwise the game is too easy to min/max all the fun out of.

    >input reading enemies including your attack direction, running direction, and attack speed (meaning they will chose to out-swing you if they know they can causing you to flinch and cancel your attack animation)
    >ranged enemies if in range will laserfocus you behind hills with no line of sight, you will have to constantly run a zig-zag motion to avoid them
    >if you are the last man standing, the remaining enemies are on foot and you run of the combat map, you will be a prisoner instead idk flee the battle leaving your men behind
    >2on1 (or more) you are just dead even against looters when you wear heavy armor and a two handed axe which should be able to cleave them in half because of flinching and slower swing speed, except when you cheese the game and strafe backwards flailing your weapon back at the enemies in hopes to hit them , while running away from their attacks, a sight so majestic and noble it might have been written in a fairy tale

there is an invisible reticle you have to imagine while picking up stuff. or have a ranged weapon equipped. i think there is a mod that changes how picking up things work.
    >if there are other weapons present lying on the thing you want, forget it,
kind of. if you're not used to it.
    >somebody put a flinching mechanic in this game, playtested it and said, "yep" that's a good and fun combat mechanic
correct. you need to block just before the attack reaches you to stun the opponent long enough for you to strike back.
    >>input reading enemies
i don't think so. you're just not used to it and most likely fighting nobles with very high combat stats so they have a lower (better) reaction time.
    >>ranged enemies if in range will laserfocus you behind hills with no line of sight, you will have to constantly run a zig-zag motion to avoid them
yeah. get some units to follow you around to not get focused down.
having true "seeing" would cost too much performance. but i think there is a proof of concept mod that adds it.
    >>if you are the last man standing, the remaining enemies are on foot and you run of the combat map, you will be a prisoner
yeah. if you want to flee, you need to have considerable number of soldiers to get back the option of sacrificing soldiers to flee.
    >>2 on1 (or more) you are just dead even against looters when you wear heavy armor and a two handed axe
you just need more athletics. they nerfed athletics some time ago because people complained. but i personally liked how fast high athletics gets you moving. nowadays, you basically need to max it out.

dudes on this site will mock accessibility options and yellow paint and shit then bitch incessantly because they're too low IQ to play with no crosshair and because they put the game on its hardest combat difficulty and the combat became too hard for them to handle

if you want to play on the hardest difficulty, you cant expect to go around swinging the slowest weapon you can find willy nilly, and getting yourself isolated in battle. faster enemies WILL exploit your slowness. either carry a fast, high handling side arm, or look for a 2 hander with a high swing speed and handling. there are shitloads 2 handers that literally have faster swing speed than 90% of 1 handed weapons.

once you get to a high level and are well equipped, you will be cleaving 10 guys in 1 hit faster than they can swing their shitty little swords. just dont be a fucking idiot expecting to be able to do that right out the gate at level 1 with starting equipment on bannerlord difficulty. thats not how the game works on this level of difficulty. your skills and equipment matter.

you dont need to cheese the game, you just need to learn to play it. or you know, just turn down the difficulty if you cant handle it to give yourself time to learn. its ok, no one will know. i wont tell anyone
    >>
You know what Bannerlord needs? More trading resources. There's barely any difference between resources in the different regions and factions. Like, there's not even spices in the south. There's little reason to explore the full map as a merchant.

    just any workshop?
    >>
    >>2507726
    Depends
Ideally you want one that has a good supply of raw materials from villages. But I sometimes just convert a workshop to a smithy, run around grabbing iron and slapping it in the warehouse. It makes back the investment in a week and the rest of the time is pure profit.
You also want to pick cities that aren't attacked a lot.
    >>
    >>2507728
I don't get why people bother with workshops and caravans. They require so much work for very little return, not only that, it takes years for them to return your investment. You lose workshops whenever the town changes hands and caravans always get attacked and lost.
    >>
    >>2507732
That's why you pick a city that never gets attacked.
Caravans make their cost back in a few in game months. Workshops can be a little longer but they're safer.
    >>
    >>2507732
You only lose the workshop if you're at war with the kingdom who takes the city. But yes they are quite shit. It's too bad this will always be blacksmith spam, the game.
    >>
    >>2507776
A truly soulless way to play
    >>
    >>2507732
In my experience, each workshop usually adds up to a profit of 300 denars a day. The gameplay purpose of workshops and caravans (from my understanding) is to stop the bleeding of denars, rather than actively make profit.

    >one of the worst introductory Quest to ships, long stages that could bug out, forced stealth sections, can't really deviate from dev's vision, your reward is a mid tier viking ship
    >A.I is really-really bad at the whole crossing over the enemy ship and falling into the drink (that goes for both sides)
    >ship equipment is scattered around different towns, game doesn't tell you where to find them
    >enemy A.I ships have no tactics besides trying to board you ASAP, no strafing to broadside duels
    >war loot from ships is non existent the real value is selling off enemy ships
    >despite having 2 different ship types that are either suited for shallow water or deep water the former category is straight up pointless, deep water ships don't give fuck
    >Vlandia captures Viking city almost instantly at the start of the campaign, because we really needed to buff them or something
    >Viking armor textures and loading screens made by A.I in the most lazy way possible

    >>
    >>2508020
do what >>2508259 said but also just make sure to do all the most difficult smithing orders you can, even if you fuck them up you get a ton more xp. What you wanna do is craft the highest "value" weapons possible which isn't actually the weapons that have the best overall stats or the best parts but the ones that can do the most raw damage. This usually means a swinging polearm or a two handed. Swing damage is the only stat that really matters for value and as soon as you can unlock some parts that get you a high swing damage weapon you need to just spam the fuck out of that, 10-20 copies almost, then you can smelt most and sell some, and if you unlocked better parts, make a better recipe and repeat the process.

Goes without saying that you want only the perks that unlock parts faster. You need to hire a companion that has good smithing and make them your refining forgemonkey to make all the charcoal and iron for you. Unlocking parts quickly snowballs because it's based on a chance linked to how much xp you gain per crafting so in theory you can immediately shoot from 0 to 150 just by making an smelting absurdly OP murderpaddles like the war razor or the glaives.

I am about to just max the fuck out of all the difficulties I can find in Bonerlord(no mods).

After having played a bit I feel like I should essentially run SOC 7 to max Charm and Leadership. I feel like INT is also a 7 if not a 10 just because of Medicine because holy shit Minister of health is as far as I have experienced the only real and true fucked up overpowered final perk. However this kinda blows too because last run I had a Companion run steward and Engi and that seems really optimal(until they get fucked) but it's fairly easy to have a spare or even multiple of those. CNG is also high if not 7, charm and tactics are really good.

VIG, CTR and even END are literal fillers. Athletics being the only contender for not being a complete waste but that is only if you get to the end which will be hard if you unironically aim for 7 CNG, 7 SOC and 10 INT.

You're telling me the best build is the one of the free range cuckold. You're telling me I will be at my strongest sitting in a chair watching stronger more virile men do the slaughtering and conquering I want to be doing?

    >>2509246
I will just continue this run on with a more risky and hard run. That kinda works with keeping the soul in while still minmaxing and running the risk of actually dying.

My first dude was just a pirate raider with his companions plus extras. Now the earliest companions have been made into vassals and I guess I can just RP the aged Lord of my own kingdom who recognizes that being a skilled warrior isn't all there is to leading a kingdom. I'll just not expand for now and groom my son into a tactical general/social noble and then ramp up all the settings and play until I get killed which I can see happening. Sounds fun, maybe.

    >>
    >>2509660
Easiest while playing Empire is getting some wood, then going South and buying as much dates as possible, then back to the Empire and sell it. Then you go west, get some olives, some grapes, then go back, sell it, and bam. You are rich. Dates are always a good business. Wood too. Meme stuff like tusks and whale oil are fine but you need a lot of money to afford them. Oh, yeah. You can go east for some delicious iron. Sells for a lot.

the game ran pretty bad on 16gb ram back in the. idk if it is fixed now and idk how well warsails deals with ram.

rereading your post, i think maybe it was the save file size if you didn't mean increased crashes in a single session.
incompatible mods accumulate errors the more years you play on the same save file so crashes become more common.
Taleworlds addressed the save file size somewhat but mods with very large maps and many NPCs suffered from save file size increases and i assume it requires optimozation from the modders' side not just Taleworlds.

the issue is the devs listen to retards like you, when the community asks for stuff like that
there are like 5 different mods just to fix the damage values and they are a cornerstone of most total conversions or modlist (RBM says hello, cut through everything is what TOR based it's code on). Everybody complains about how poorly done the aging system is and the perks were so bugged out for years we have a website solely to keep track of it. Both added more work that would have been spent better on other parts of the game, without providing anything of substance (and are still partly bugged out, ie clone babies & learning rate not working)

the game is missing interactions with the systems and NPCs but battles and sieges are more enjoyable than warband's.

the ageing system is fine but yeah perks need to go. what parts of the game do you want to be improved? everyone is asking for more interactions with systems and NPCs. i can't see how perks hindered this.
    >(and are still partly bugged out, ie clone babies & learning rate not working)
clone babies were fixed years ago and what is the learning rate issue?

How is Bannerlord mod developement compared to Warband? I've made a total conversion mod in Warband but I'm thinking of making a Bannerlord version. The main thing that puts me off, however, is that the character models look like dysgenic cartoony ogres. I unironically think that even Native Warband faces look better.
And I've not seen any mod for Bannerlord that makes them look human.
    >>
I'm amazed still that when you start a new campaign as soon as you get like 3-4 men, looters and bandits are as fast as you or even slightly faster even without penalties. meaning they either always catch you (in case of looters this is not bad, but they start running soon enough if you get a modicum of trained soliders) or will permanently evade you unless you somehow manage to navigate them into a corner by accident over days

later on you can get a few horses, but not right in the beginning,

this is so baffeling bad design that i am wondering if they actively want to sabotage their own game by making the beginning as unfun and garbage as possible
    >>
    >Game called bannerlord
    >The options for making your banner are still barebones
I dont know why they think what we have is fine. Just steal the flag creator from CK3 if anything

Anyone here done some family tree experimenting?
I'd it possible to have the original player character marry Wife1. Have a child with her Son1 and then three more but they don't matter. Then the original character takes a new wife, wife2. This wife is completely unrelated to the first Son1. Now the original character has a single kid with Wife2, Then the original character dies on the battlefield. I still want more children from Wife2 with my player character which now happens to be Son1 - completely unrelated by blood.

My understanding is that there is a block to stop you from marrying blood relatives but the relevant characters aren't related by blood. The second block I suspect is in the the family/clan one.

My question is if anyone knows if taking the widowed Wife2 in my clan. Using my Son1 player character to marry her into another clan thus making on top of wife2 not being blood related she would now also be part of another clan. Can I then execute wife2s husband and marry her with my new player character Son1?

Quite the ordeal to maintain the characters of my playthough but it is what it is. If there a precedence of anyone here having heard or done this or knows the internal flags and if so if it will pass or not?

tell us, if "swift strike" and "to be blunt" were removed from you character, would you even notice ? or "head basher" and "on the edge" if you play 2H.
oh wow, +2% swing speed, the animation the enemy uses at the time it gets hit has more impact on your damages than these perks
yes perks like impale exist, never said they didn't. It doesn't change the fact that 95% of them are so dogshit you can't remember they exist, and you might as well choose at random which one to take when prompted to.
Remove these and any reference of them in the code, and no one would miss them.

Nigger you really want me to take the time to list all the useful perks for you? Kill yourself. Also, that +2% swing speed can and will decide who wins sword duels. Extremely useful early game in tournaments.
    >>
    >>2512181
    so you are retarded then.
I don't need you to go through all these "+2-to-5% improvement in something meaningless unless you stack with these 12 other perks in 8 other skills, three of them you don't give a shit about and you don't have enough focus points for anyway" perks.
I need you to stop defending poor game design.
    >Also, that +2% swing speed can and will decide who wins sword duels. Extremely useful early game in tournaments.
Rofl, now you are just lying (or hallucinating), the animation of the NPC or the position you have have so much more impact, the 2% 'improvement' will never decide shit
If you need that 2% swing speed bonus to win duels against the AI I have bad news for you, it's placebo and you are just shit at it. If we talk about MP then sure, some players are really good and it could make a difference but against bots ? lmao

    >MUH MODS
because I constantly look for good perks. Maybe you are the shitter that can't pick them. I'm not feeding you the perks either. You are not worth my time.
    >>
    >>2512146
i hate perks because the really good ones are out of the AI reach so the player gets a huge advantage just because he's the player on top of the already advantageous position the player has. mainly companions and stopping time.
and there are too many of them so fast mode becomes tedious clicking. the auto assign option is dogshit because it doesn't take into account their equipment or their already distributed attributes.
of course, there are mods that activate both perks for everyone and a mod that builds NPCs like the player but this makes normal soldiers weak and turns the game into a musou.

    wut?
i want to play it as a medieval lord simulator and getting advantages over the AI is not conducive to the experience.
a lord risks a lot by going to the front lines and fighting alongside his troops but gives them a huge morale boost in return. neither are well represented in the game.
the last medicine perk is outright comical.

is there a command for them to not be retarded? i put them on autocontrol and they normally circle their enemies, idk what happens, its always on flat open terrain too, charge command they charge into melee, and engage they dont move at all, just go into firing range and let the enemy close in

I prefer it for the immersive factor, and it makes playthroughs feel more distinct. I imagine most players just go with whatever, though. Or meta-game with Fian Champions or Khan's Guards.

How do we fix Strugia from a unit perspective. They just feel like "Nords at home" now that they took the big tanky viking guy theme from them. I know they're based on the Rus but they just dont seem to have that unit theme anymore that makes them unique from the other factions.
    >>
    >>2514211
Honestly? Not a goddamn clue. Norse went from the worst faction to even their archers can facetank siege engines + naval meme + everyone throws shit + a bearskin has 90 armor. Imps are already the good all-around faction. Bats are already the archer faction.
Perhaps making them closer to norse-khergit hybrid? Bit of more cavalry with cossack style light cav, heavy armored but less skilled horse archers and something javelin throwing in the middle?
