The trial never ends.
>>4143884"I was born 87 years ago. For 65 years I've ruled as Tamriel's Emperor. But for all these years I have never been the ruler of my own dreams. I have seen the Gates of Oblivion, beyond which no waking eye may see. Behold, in Darkness a Doom sweeps the land. This is the 27th of Last Seed; the Year of Akatosh 433. These are the closing days of the 3rd Era, and the final hours of my life."
My Emperor? No newfag, my King.
>>4144143The most kino intro to a RPG ever created
>>4143884y'know, this death may not have been heavy for most but this was the same emperor who was kidnapped and impersonated for years in the first game, personally sent an agent to handle the issue in iliac bay in daggerfall, and whose machinations and careful consideration of personnel saw the empire through the issue at red mountain and the oblivion crisis. 4 almost nirn ending catastrophes and he weathered them all (except oblivion)
>>4145466Even then bro had the wisdom to have a side bitch for an extra heir, what a king
