>>4142965I'm really trying. Started it for the first time recently. Got the midnight ride mod pack since apparently that's baby's first mod pack to make the game playable. I am not hating it, but the settlement building feels like a real chore and picking up all shit that's not bolted down to be able to craft something is not riveting, either. I also have kind of an identity crisis about building the character I want. In 3, I played a sniper and built accordingly, in New Vegas I played Kenshiro and had little problems. Here, I wanna try an energy weapons build but you need so much other bullshit. Scrounging for ammo, perks to be able to get mods for guns, more storage space. Its a lot, and not necessarily fun.
>>4143020The whole game is a chore. Your primary task is literally collecting garbage so you can mod your weapons and slowly up your firepower. Secondary tasks consist of listening to millennial writing, suffering through utterly inane quests and trying to not get killed by bullet sponges that drop no valuable loot. Because the enemies scale with your level, you never truly become stronger. From start to finish, enemies take n shots to kill. I can't believe I paid money to play this.Maybe the Jews were right, maybe people are goyim. I had hatikvah that we'll one day see better RPGs, but it becomes increasingly unlikely. Lilura was right, the RPG genre is 'weak, very weak', and I should just dump the hobby, and this board, and move on with my life.
