>hear wild arms 3 was good>try playing it>battle camera has adhd and spins in constant circleswho designed this shit
did you play 1+2 on playstation already? If not, do that first.
I love the way it plays but I guess it's not for everyone .Also why I liked the PS2 remake of 1
>>4140090wild arms 2 sucks
>>4140073>Battles give next to no experience but you only get to dodge like 2 of them before it's forced anywayinto the trash it goes
>>4140757Queer
>>4140073You get used to it. I would rank 3 and 2 as the best entries in the franchise. It's a bit of an acquired taste but is urge you to stick with it if you are enjoying yourself. They get better over time as systems open up. It's easy to get lost in 3 so don't be afraid to look shit up.
>>4140073>designedWhoever did also made sure that you'd be fighting the same bosses over and over again repeatedly.
>>4140497>I liked the PS2 remake of 1My nigga. People can bitch about the stiff translation, and I'm not going to argue against that, but not only is the story straightfoward enough that you you'll never feel out of the loop on what's happening (unlike WA2) the translation of the PS1 version is pretty shit as well.>Van Burace>Earth Golem>HolmcrossAlso I fucking love the block puzzles.
>>4140757i also feel that way about breath of fire 1 & 2.
I just wish virginia had more viable upgrade paths than going full UNGARMAXXX.Could you upgrade her attack power to keep up with enemies? Sure, but her attack power is the weakest of the four people and not by a small amount. It sucks, and it will always suck because she's a mage.
>>4142800That was honestly kino. It kept the villains present in the story, and they all had gimmicks that you had to work around. You still typically got another boss or two in each dungeon. If there's one thing WA3 does not lack, it's boss fights.
>>4143307There's a lot more pressing issues with Alter Code F than the translation.
>>4140073>>battle camera has adhd and spins in constant circlesbro....the problem is you....that's the cool part....
>>4143307>>4143702I appreciate taking Wild Arms 1, with its excessive random encounters and giving it the engine from 3, but it just didn't work. Sadly. Not one thing specifically, but several little things that made the experience less than what preceded it and took influence from. I think the biggest offenders are that the camera is too zoomed out and the lack of traditional character customization/progression. Good intentions. Just botched execution. And the graphics are worse than the original and it loses a lot of its charm. It must have had a really tiny budget.
