Anyone playing the demo? truly the greatest RPG (tm) of all the time

Change my mind: everyone who uses the term “immersive sim” is a faggot

Everyone who uses “change my mind” is a faggot and arguing with a strong bias
    >>
these kinds of games work best when theyre the solo vision of a deranged obsessive autist so i dont hold out much hope for a vibecoded slopfest to be good
    >>
    >>4132377
IT IS a single autist as far as i know, no?

idk but its ai assisted and in my experience they always end up having a mushy soulless feel

Tranny dev so the game probably sucks.

    >I am unable to formulate a logical argument that would be convincing to anyone who doesn’t already agree with me
    Brutal.
    >>
    >>4132760
Sounds exactly like what the whole "convince me" begging is about.
    >>
    >Stock market
    >Can buy most items from "ebay"
    >purchase the vatican
    >rent properties
Honestly, the laptop thing looks more fun than the game itself so far, havent managed to figure out how to mine asteroids with the spaceship

Some people possess intellectual honesty and are potentially willing to change their opinions in response to new evidence and argumentation.
    Some people do not.
Some people do not, and project onto others that they do not, and that they are as stubborn and closed-minded as they are.
    >>
    >>4132814
Which one of those is more likely to frame the premise of the conversation as a challenge to not only provide new evidence and argumentation but also a game where you don't succeed if they arbitrarily decide their mind is simply not changed? Because those are the ones you statistically shouldn't waste your time on. If you want to engage with anyone that asks: 'Prove that this isn't an elephant' then more power to you.

all that work just to make yet another RPGmaker deltawank clone. what a waste. sage&hide&filtered.

    Shocking

statistically, “change my mind” suggests a probable lack of strength in anything.

It really rustles my jimmies that people have a stronger bias against AI-generated images than against AI-generated code.

    >people care more about art being devalued than things that are not art being devalued
    Hmmmm

    >It really rustles my jimmies that people have a stronger bias against AI-generated images than against AI-generated code.
AI-generated images are immediately repulsive and ugly, and it only takes an IQ of +0 sigma to see the problem
AI-generated code is subtler problem, and it takes an IQ of +2 sigma to see the long-term issues caused by
    >hey, who's going to fix the code when it's all made by LLMs and humans don't understand it anymore, and it inevitably breaks"
    It's not surprising.
    >>
    >>4138833
Art isn't "devalued" because its value has always been 100% subjective.

In this context, it also has little or no influence on the quality of the game. Meanwhile vibe-coded slop means the game is more likely to be janky as fuck and AI-generated code is notorious for being much harder maintain and extend (exacerbated by the fact that most vibe coders can barely read their own code), both of which directly lower the quality of a game.
Put differently, I'd rather have a shitty jpeg taking up space on my PC than have something execute shitty code on my PC.

    >>4138820
All code has to do is work well, not evoke emotions.

    Demo out in steam boyos

I've thought so from the very first time I encountered that pretentious millennial goober term here.
    >>
    >>4138839
Humans are arrogant to a fault, especially nerd humans, who code for themselves mostly because knowing as many professional nerds as I do, the "only I can figure that out" thing they delude themselves with is ingrained into their subconscious because heaven fucking forbid they make anything accessible to people that need to use it. How else could they maintain the illusion of supertech nerd when it breaks because the poor user didn't understand their bullshit self referential half documented spaghetti.

I predict that AI will end up coding better than people, and make new languages that are in fact easier to read and more accessible to people. Of course you will immediately concede that it will be vastly more consistent about variable declarations and documentation unless you want to come off as totally disingenuous.

You use AI now to extract those things from information from the world and cut out lots of pretentious self referential bullshit, coding engines, IDEs, compilers and interpreters design will be no different in the end.

Truly intelligent people will use AI to power up their learning experiences and people that are mostly fronting and hiding behind fragile egos, the ones threatened by AI, will be left behind.
