I'm enjoying the FUCK out of CK3 right now. Tribal start, custom ruler, made a CONFEDERATION got some rare 'chievement on 4% have, there was a serial killer who was killing people for years, couldn't figure out who it was and couldn't stop him... it was my champion/master of hunt and I found out when he KILLED MY FUCKING WIFE lol good thing I already had 7 kids and now I can form alliances with a new wife so I banish his ass.Crazy little game. Very underrated. Apparently you can laugh to death? lol...
I liked CK2 as a 15 year old and cant stand any of them anymore. I feel like CK3 is very reddit-y but then i realize i probably just didnt register it as a stupid teenager in CK2. Events are very repetitive past maybe 20 hours of gameplay as wellThey are also extremely easy which makes them boring
>>4129324No, CK2 is not heavy into fantasy and memes the way 3 is.
>>4129326Ck2 literally let you worship satan and get magic powers lol
For a moment I thought I was at /vst/
>>4129345m'lord, have you spoken to the horned god today?what am i supposed to do with murder schemes btw because killing someone just gets them replaced w/ someone else
>>4129326CK2 was worse than 3, imo, plus a lot of that stuff is tweakable through game settings, so you can play a "realistic" CK3 game easily enough. It took awhile for me to make the switch, cause CK2 was one of my favorite games, but CK3 is better now, imo. A lot more rpg type gameplay now with way more events, though some things are still lacking depth, but thats usually new releases that get patched/tweaked as things go on.
>>4129372they're constantly updating and patching 3, it's incredible, I never played any of the previous games.
>>4129372Fair enough. I haven't played CK2 since Europe and the Muslim states were the only things in the game.
I played CK3 for about a month after release and dropped it. It’s garbage. And for some reason, in a game about the Crusades, they expanded the map down to the deepest beating heart of Africa and into China and Indonesia and shit, it’s extremely stupid. The map should stop after Egypt and Persia.Paradox has fallen, their only good game in the last ten years was Imperator>t. roleplayer
>>4129345>worship satan and get magic powersDays without anti-Semitism on /vrpg/: 0
>>4129507You don't have to play in those areas, anon, you don't have to have anything to do with them. It doesn't affect anything other than giving you more options of things to do. More options not mandatory DEI gays and nigs like Kingdom Come Deliverance 2 kind of did though you can avoid them in that game as well.
>>4129513>It doesn't affect anything
>>4129520Skill issue
>>4129520That was certainly done on purpose and not the AI by itself. You don't have to make shit up to find something wrong with this game.
>>4129558
>>4129558>>4129588
>>4129588>>4129590What exactly do you think you're proving here?
I made my first vassal! I have no idea what I'm doing. So I put it as someone with the same religion/culture/language as the region I took over. My character is about to die and my player heir will take over so I hope they don't hate each other! This game is interesting and personalities seem to matter more than they are mentioned in the game.
>>4129320kill yourself asap /v/-fag
>>4129894acktually i'm a /pol/ock and /tv/ bro and somtimes /k/ommando
>>4129507is this nigga acutally complaining that there is too much content?
>>4129320>there was a serial killer who was killing people for years, couldn't figure out who it was and couldn't stop him1) how do you even keep track of this?2) how do you know he is an actual serial killer
>>4130565>this nigga acutally complaining that there is too much content? One, “content” is a disgusting and stupid term. Retards who make videos of themselves talking about bullshit are now “content creators” much like you were psyopped to identify as a (((consoomer))) rather than a citizen or a thinking human being. Two, yes, if you add “content” that is fundamentally inappropriate and dumb to a given game, that is a net negative and detracts from the overall quality of the game. Good “content” is more important than more “content”
>>4130572nta, but there is an event where someone in your court is killing people, then you find out who it is.
>>4130572It's an event and you have to give choices how you repsond to it, you can go oh no let's pray, pay money to double guards, ask questions etcguy who did it had some personality trait like evil traitor or something really bad lolmy original ruler just died, living legend, head of culture, max piety, guy was a fucking legend, I of course made him in the create a ruler to have great martial skill and prowess so that was helpful.
>>4129320I didn't play much of CK3, but I did play a lot of CK2, to the point that it burned me out of these games. I do like dynasty roleplay and management, but it's gonna be a while if ever when I return to this series.
Is religion just busted now if you don't have the new DLC? The Christians aren't declaring crusades despite their holy sites being taken by pagans, and somehow the pope is part of the Greek rite, I guess the Roman rite is just gone now? Are crusades never gonna happen now?
>>4130565There is no unique or worthwhile content for 75% of the map. The focus on a broad sims esque gameplay system is frankly why the game is boring. Why the fuck do african tribesmen essentially function identically to somewhere like england? the answer is because they decided to focus on making it as broad as possible and then laying a bunch of stupid event paths on it like they did to HOI4 and EU4 near the end
>>4131683In the older games, there was a certain fun to picking a zero flavor shithole with no "content" that isn't supposed to be able to do anything other than wallow in filth until the Europeans show up to conquer you and build something out of it.
>>4131684Maybe in EU3/4 but not in any other paradox game. Trust me ive done exactly what youre describing probably 1000 times since i was 14 years old
>>4130634>Jew echosBro its been a fucking decade, get some new dogwhistles
bro is a beast. he may be a flamer, but gods fire burns bright and he has stayed away from any faggotry, and been loyally fruitful. was a rough start, though. arrogant, diligent and ambitious was fucking hell on his stress in the early years, often gaining stress from every available option. managed to get by and grab some perks to lower stress gain, now he's stable and will probably live for another 30 more years. also have the full Kin Legacy tree, so his stats actually get better as he ages instead of worse. easily my favorite legacy tree.
>>4129320>>4129588>>4129590>>4132329>this map painting shit passes as an RPG in 2026Lilura save us…
>>4132330quit being a baby. someone made a thread, it continues to exist, so im gonna post in it.
>Start as adventurer/low level vassal>Wait until enough gold to build MAA>Click button to declare war on liege>Move army to enemy capital, wait>Click offer peace>Repeat until top liege>Fabricate claim on neighbours>Move army to enemy capital, wait>You are now an unstoppable juggernautThis game is mind-numbingly easy. You can become the most powerful ruler in the world as anyone within a single lifetime. And succession is easy too. The hardest part is getting repetitive strain injury from clicking le good option on the inconsequential reddit events which pop up every ten seconds.
>>4132347I forgot to post this earlier but the way you can see the actual percentage chances of events i think is what makes them so fucking gay compared to ck2. besides the writing in general being a lot less "tongue in cheek"
>>4132347wow, you figured out how to abuse siege weapons. so impressive.
>>4132351>He thinks you need to abuse siege weapons to win easily in CK3 warsTell me where, exactly, in my simple step-by-step guide, that I mentioned siege weapons, faggot.
>>4132354you didn't have to, because its obvious you're not telling the whole story, faggot.
>>4132329So here we are 20 years later. Cancerous, but still kickin'. Took some time to gather the lands due to realm laws, but once the inevitable crown authority faction from succession popped, it was an easy thing to grab a few more territories to form Germany, aka the true Third Reich. Jews haven't invaded our lands yet, so they're gonna avoid that rather "unfortunate" point in history for now. funny thing is that as soon as i became king of germany, the Emperor proceeded to give me half his kingdom without any arguments, but lucky for him i like to larp as a loyal vassal.
>>4132946>69lolalso 24k troops, holy shit, I can't get above 11k or something, but I am starting from nothing so idk what I'm even doing
>>4134692yeah, anything in the HRE is fairly ezmode, since you're relatively safe from outside expansion and can expand inside as long as crown authority isn't too high. i wasn't sure i was going to get as good a result as i did with that guy, but his son is turning out even better than him. and of course, i'm the emperor now, so we've entered a new age. As strong as I am, though, France is united and the Byzantine Empire didn't have to deal with the Mongols, so they've been expanding too. 51k is a lot, but it's about the same as they can pull, so the future is gonna get nasty.
>>4134842Crazy, I'm fighting battles in the "early" start I'm on my 2nd generation, it will be like 7k vs 6k soldiers and I thought that was a lot.Do you guys ever use the AI to fight or do you turn it off?
>>4140415i fight all battles manually. you always want to select an army and hover over the province to see your battle advantage before you move in to attack an enemy. it can easily make or break your army, so you have to choose your battles wisely, which the AI rarely ever does. if your advantage is poor, just wait awhile for the enemy to run out of supplies so they get a debuff. if you absolutely must attack an army with a huge disadvantage (like you're about to lose a war), that's the only way to even the playing field. otherwise i like to just wait awhile for the AI to take attrition damage from sieging before i rush one of their armies for the kill.
