    The great debate

Never played Driver but gta3 is super fun with the jump code on.

Driver 2 could have been awesome if it wasn't such a glitchy mess. I wonder if it would have even been possible to have it run smoothly on a PS1, too bad the devs didn't take some extra time to release it for PS2 instead.
But in the end, you can't really compare them, they are completely different games. Driver is more like a racing game in a non-racing setting, while GTA is more focused on shooting stuff and exploring the map. GTA definitely had the better open world experience, but Driver has this unique "70s movie car chasing scene"-charm and really satisfying driving physics.

It should have been PC only in the first place

The game where you can kill people wins automatically.

I remember there being tons of rumors about being able to kill people In Driver 2, like you get a gun if you manage to run over one of the cops at a roadblock and similar stuff. Even some of those early videogame websites we had back then claimed bullshit like that. Some even claimed you can unlock a fucking tank kek.
In hindsight it's hilarious how much time we kids spent back then trying to do that. >It sure is just super hard to actually run someone over, but why should it be impossible? Why would people lie about video games, right?
