it's the result of a veteran game developer raised in arcades having to make a AAA blockbuster game. the arcade-like sensibilities shine through in the rock solid gameplay and pacingyou could put Leon in a blank box room with a handful of enemies and it'd be fun to play. it's similar to Doom in that way, in that the foundation is so strong that it can be endlessly fun by just rearranging elements like level and enemy placements
