In a life-and-death battle, which one would emerge victorious?
>>12905207Two of the worst covers I could possible imagine, just insane.
>>12905207I prefer Bust-A-Move 4 on Dreamcast
>>12905343For no good reason too. This series has great aesthetics.
>>12905207I was going to ask "if this is the thread" but then realized I'm on /vr/ and not /co/. ...anyway, BABYKINGS nodif RAPE and GAPE the ADDICTKEKS.
Did someone get fired for mixing up the box art with the magazine ads?
>>12905414And has nice girls.
>>12905207Well, would you say they were right? These covers just screm that they were obviously designed because "MUST be cool / gross! People won't buy it if it is just presented as a a puzzle game or, Lord have mercy, cutesy!".Would you say they were wrong? WOuld the game still have sold with some cute characters on the cover? The same thing that gave us pissed Kirby.
>>12905207The left looks cool idk why people hate it lol .
>>12905343>>12905414I kinda miss coverart and ads from when it was clear that some of the designers involved knew nothing about videogames, or maybe even flat out thought they were stupid. Sometimes you can just feel the contempt.https://youtu.be/k48m-LOvkUo
>>12905207>the one on the leftjesus fucking christ what the fuck
>>12905414I can see why. An American executive back then would think a game that looks like either of those could be only marketed towards girls or children. But the gameplay itself appeals to everyone. They probably asked some advertising agency to do something "out there" because if you take away the cutesy characters, how else do you market and sell a puzzle game about balls?
>12905343(You)
>>12905608>rename puzzle bobble to bust-a-move>have to then later rename bust a move to bust a groove as a result
>>12905409That one is good, I really like Puzzle Bobble 3 on the sega saturn, that's my favorite.
2 is the best one with that puzzle mode.
>>12905207In the same spirit as USoid SEGA Saturn advertisements
