    Not even Linux?
    >>
    >>12903842
nope. this was originally a fork of xemu for android, but xemu is so total ass the dev decided to start from scratch using our friend claude.
    >>
This is so fucking criminal, we need this on Windows PC right fucking NOW
    >>
Claude, recomp this to x64. You can fuck up if you want.
    >>
    >original xbox games on a handheld at 120fps
    Just like the devs intended
    >>
    >>12903817
Nice, I hope this runs well on my Thor when it arrives.
    >>
    >>12903852
I don't see any Claude mentions
    >>
    >>12904790
I just assume it was Claude. The dev did use AI to build it, but on r*ddit and not the github:
    >AI usage disclaimer: hakuX was my personal experience in AI assisted coding since the beggining and it continues to be.

    >Xbox emulation can run better on Android than on Windows/PC
How the fuck does this even make sense?
In any case though, I'm waiting to see how well it runs Ninja Gaiden Black and Spikeout Battle Street. If it can run those flawlessly, then I'm gonna buy me one of those Chinese handhelds so that I can forever have two of my favorite action games on the go.

Let me know when theres a retroarch core or something. Till then I'll just use Xemu and deal with it being ass cause fuck android and fuck trying to play it on an OG since even the 1.6b Xboxes are dying of cap failure. Pic related needs 5 new big ones around the ATX connector.

By not being accuracy fags. It's ok to target accuracy in a different project when there's already an existing playable emulator but Xemufags ignored that and want you to have a $5000 NASA PC to play Forza at playable framerate.

Ninja Gaiden Black runs full speed on this emulator:

(6.45 secs if the link doesn't work)

Apologies if I'm ignorant, but what does accuracy mean in this context? I'm looking at the Xbox games being emulated, and I don't see anything that isn't accurate in terms of visuals or sound. Is that referring to something technical?
    >>
    >>12905907
is this running on PC or on some handheld jank? I might be curious if handheld since I've no need of emulating xbox at home. If they all look this good on a handheld then sure, it would finally give me a reason to get anothre one.

"cycle accuracy" is my guess, or whatever passes as an equivalent for newer systems. For the longest time Snes9x was just fine, and it still is, but it's not "cycle" accurate. Meanwhile Higan eventually came and is extremely accurate, is and it required a much, much, much stronger PC to run it
    >>
    >>12906532
Out of curiosity, how does this "cycle accuracy" affect a game for the average player who just wants to enjoy a smooth, bug-free experience of an emulated game? Does it mean that specific animations in the game are sped up or slowed down or something? Or is it just under-the-hood stuff that's practically unnoticeable?
    >>
    >>12906786
Depending on the emulator, close to none, however you could have missing effects in some games, that's mostly it but I'm seriously not knowledgeable enough to truly say, and even less for these new systems emulators
Even if Snes9x is not cycle accurate (Marked as "High", in Gametech wiki), I don't think there's any problems with it anymore. However, stuff with "Speed hacks", like Zsnes, I recall back in the days the door never opened after a boss in ZAMN, we had to switch to Snes9x. I also know that the Speedy Gonzales game (yes, the one from the Sonic saving Mario romhack from all these years ago) had a button that didn't behave correctly at all, preventing you from beating it
The one case I'm aware of that cycle accuracy solved is that a shadow is properly rendered in a flying plane game, that's about it. Kinda disappointing, yes
So in the end, the more "speed hack" an emulator is, the less accurate, the more it can run on potatoes, the more you'll run into possible issues. The more accurate it is, the more you need to be accurate, the higher specs system you'll need, the less you'll run into issues. I once heard that if you wanted to perfectly emulate a really old computer 100%, you would need one hell of a machine. No idea how true is that now. Perhaps someone more knowledgeable can take over. "Cycle accuracy" seems to be a good enough stopping point for emulators for now

    >>12906807
sounds like you watched that youtube video comparing hardware and software emulation
    >>
    >>12906807
Sounds like it's not that big of a deal for an average player like me then. I just want to be able to experience Xbox Classic games that I never got to experience when they came out. If a few shadows here and there aren't properly rendered here and there, it's no dealbreaker.

So should I just get the Anbernic RG55G1 that's in OP's video? Or are there cheaper ones that can get the same job done (flawless 60fps for games like Ninja Gaiden Black at 1080p)?
    >>
    >>12906859
    >software emulation
    >on lagdroid
    >flawless
topkek. the original wasnt 60fps and has key slowdowns. if you play action games accuracy is important, play it on original hardware or the desktop emulator. if you want fable or kotor and you have an android device already go with the android one
    >>
    >>12905960
Not sure what you mean, this is all running on the handheld, it's not streaming from a pc or anything like that
    >>
    >>12906869
    >the original wasnt 60fps and has key slowdowns. if you play action games accuracy is important
By that logic, you shouldn't play NGB on Xbox Series consoles since it runs flawlessly there.
You especially shouldn't play NG2 on anything but Xbox 360 since the newer Xboxes completely eliminated all the lag.
    Anyway,
    >software emulation
    >on lagdroid
    >flawless
Someone literally posted a video above showing the game running 60fps with no hitches.
    >>
    >>12906970
you're a pseud who doesnt understand action games. retro games are playtested and designed around slowdown. it being 1:1 to the original is flawless. anything different from the original is a flaw. it running 420fps without slowdown is a flaw.
