I booted this up just to fuck about with it expecting to drop it in less than 20 minutes but I ended up playing for a while. It's not a concept that makes me jump out of my seat when I hear it but it is very relaxing and satisfying to play, at least so far. I hear the sequel is even better too. They've got the bird guys with the handbags on the doors, you know the ancient south american gods or whatever, civilisation bringers who rekindled the world after a calamity. That's neat and totally lost on kids.
>>12903714All I remember about Dark Cloud is a neighbor kid who was super into it but gave up in the last dungeon cause as he put it "all my weapons are made of Styrofoam and break super fucking fast in this godawful place"
>>12903747I'm only just getting started but it seems like you're supposed to level up and evolve your weapons into better versions, but I can imagine a bullshit final level that fucks you if you don't bring enough repair powder lol. I dropped so many JRPG's at the 90% mark because of bullshit final levels.
>>12903757For whatever it's worth he still sang it's praises. He just hated the final dungeon.
>>12903714>They've got the bird guys with the handbags on the doors, you know the ancient south american gods or whatever, civilisation bringers who rekindled the world after a calamity. That's neat and totally lost on kids. They are just symbols for agriculture. Those are not handbags lol
>>12903714>I hear the sequel is even better too.Oh no, no it fucking isn't.
>>12903714the game is not great, it's quite repetitive and it doesn't have much substance to it (also the final game got severly downgraded compared to the E3 demo), and yet, i didn't have a bad time playing this game. The gameplay has that particular kind of slow progression that works great for autists. I had the same good experience with Azure Dreams.
Steve is my nigga.
