Have you got your Super Mario Bros 1 on NES CIB yet? Shit is going to be the Amazing Fantasy 1 of videogames (currently worth $50,000). Get it now or suffer later. >millions of videogames collectors in the future will need Mario 1 on NES, with only a few thousand copies available.t. already have five copies.
>>12901783You are the monster ruining retro videogame collecting. and the AI dweebs are ruining /vr/ with your price speculation and vibe coded junk. Zoomers ruin everything. Leave here with your AI trash and "collecting" AKA speculating.
>>12901783>CIB>photo shows the product open and out of box
>>12901789>Zoomers ruin everythingZoomers aren't the ones inflating game prices
>>12901789zoomers don't have money to buy a $15k game you stupid zoomer-obsessed GORILLA NIGGER
>>12901789Just say young people at this point anon. Oldest Gen Z is almost 30 by next year. Also, not sure how they're able to manifest $15k out of nowhere for this shit. If anything, you're just admitting Zoomers are far more wealthy than you are by that logic.
>>12901783That's not even Mario's rookie card. That was like the 3rd game he appeared in
>>12901825CIB does not mean sealed retard.
>>12901783This goes for $300 so either listed too high since they don't have it or retarded, not real price. The thing that weird wata collecting wave did was it trying to make very high selling but well known IP installments the "grails" vs the actually rare games for each console. They could justify the high price for the rarest Nintendo and Sony games vs millions-selling Mario but then again they wouldn't be able to find them for their scam
>>12901825>18+>child show it's underage and retarded
Waaah collecting games cost money
>>12902571collecting anything for collecting's sake is a mental illness.
>>12902473Only the collectible rare games actually sell for any notable amount of money, or often sell at allPlenty of games out there with few copies and still literally no resale value because nobody outside of fullset collectors is buying them.If you look up notable flops for retro consoles, you'll find that there's plenty of games that sold less than 20k units that still go for like 15 bucks on ebay with listings sitting on there for six months unsold. Even retail console games so obscure they don't have Mobygames or Pricecharting pages can go for just a couple of bucks.Meanwhile 10% of all GBA carts ever made are Pokemon games and those still go for like a couple hundred bucks each.

I should get into collecting NES games someday. Never had one growing up.Felix the Cat was a favorite.
>>12901783>Have you got your Super Mario Bros 1 on NES CIB yet?Best I can do is two copies of Super Mario 64 CIB. How's that? Not real pic, it's just a stock image, but that's what each of my copies look like. Pic related.
>>12905473collecting is literally animal-like behaviour, like how some birds collect shiny trinket.not everyone is a hylic.
>>12905262>20k unitsNah be fair that's not what I was referring to, I meant the actual insane limited quantity game and variants like Stadium Events where known copies might be in double or triple digitsThose ones are grails going up 5 figures and above not Pokemon Red sealed
>>12901953While I agree that it probably isn't zoomers who are driving up game prices on the high end, I can certainly believe they contribute to it on "lower" end things. That said, speculatively collecting shit has become a huge fad (see: Pokemon cards), so I wouldn't be surprised if there were zoomers (not exclusively zoomers, though) who spend beyond their means with the hope that they can flip their several thousand dollar purchases for even more thousands of dollars in a few years. And the way some of this shit goes, sometimes they'd be right. I know I've made several videogame and videogame-adjacent purchases over the past decade+ that would turn out to have been profitable "investments" if I ever decided to sell.
