    >called Resident Evil 3 Nemesis
    >The Nemesis is an obnoxious piece of shit and by far the worst part of the game
Also, unrelated but does it annoy anyone else that they couldn't be bothered to put in flavortext for 90% of the shit in the game? Even just a single line, just SOMETHING to give a little bit more atmosphere and immersion and to acknowledge your place in this world.

Overall 4>5>2>3>1, still need to play the remakes

Only a genuine fucking retard could pefer classic RE.
    >slowly move around at a snail's pace interacting with every piece of trash in the environment to see which are actually relevant for progression
    >clunky ass tank controls with constant camera shifts every two seconds (you'll walk down a single hallway and the camera will literally shift like 10 times)
    >oftentimes these camera perspectives obscure items or enemies from the player that would literally be seen by the actual in-game character
    >combat consists of just holding aim and pressing one button while the game automatically aims for you against slow-moving zombies
    >long door animations every time you enter a room (in a game full of back-tracking)
    >game showers you in ammo and healing items
    >tiny-ass inventory where key items count the same as combat items, so you are constantly playing musical chairs shuffling items around without even a way to discard items, and guessing which key item you will need next then backtracking when wrong
    >inventory system only really makes sense for replays when you already know what is coming and can prepare for it, but why would you want to replay a game that is so slow-paced, with such braindead combat, with no higher difficulties, especially when you already know all the puzzles?

It's actually insane how much RE4 and RE5 improved this braindead formula. Good riddance

RE2 is just far better in terms of story, characters, voice-acting, writing, setpieces, pacing, graphics, polish, limping from damage, the two scenarios, greater focus on action, more interesting environments, less backtracking, and even the environmental text scroll is much faster. It overall is just a much better feeling game. RE3 is a slight downgrade-sidegrade, but still far better than RE1

And when obviously RE4 is a masterpiece that blows all three away

    fixed for you.

    >still need to play the remakes

the remake of the first one is very annoying for the burning zombie mechanic. And in the case of the remakes of resident evil 2 and resident evil 3, they are woke agenda trash.
    >>
    >>12899458
The worst part about 3 was that it introduced the respawning enemy mechanic. If the enemies respawn but I have finite ammo then what point is there in killing them?

    >It's actually insane how much RE4 and RE5 improved this braindead formula. Good riddance

If you prefer "call of duty" style videogames, good for you. But i prefer the old horror ones like the first 3 resident evil games or silent hill 1.

You are a retard, as expected.

And actually, it's a terrible comparison anyways as classic CoD games are played very slow and carefully, utilizing cover, crawling, and slowly picking off enemies.

RE3 is the best one. Nemesis is so cool. He's the coolest monster in any game. He's not just cool visually, but narratively and mechanically. If you don't like Nemesis, then it's certified that you suck cocks.

I recently marathoned the series and I feel like my tastes of the games are so vastly different than the "general" fanbase I'm genuinely confused how that is lol.
    For me it's
    2 > 3 > 1 > 4
are we allowed to talk about youknowwhat or is that not allowed, sorry new to this board. i will say a certain cough cough Resident Evil 2 game is the most overrated piece of doodoo I've ever seen. it's a solid 7 but gets jerked off to the stratosphere for no reason.
    >>
    >>12899546
RE4 has slower movement tham RE3
    >>
    >>12906839
Dodge is so clunky and such a worthless piecd of shit that it immediately discounts any movement advantage. Also the aiming is slow as fuck and is especially annoying in sections where you can't rely on auto-aim like hitting the valves in the Nemesis fight or the worm fights.

RE3 just feels so half-assed, it's already so short, but yet it still feels the need to reuse the police station and has constant backtracking. The quick-turn is nice, but it's also really easy to accidentally trigger, and removes some of the tension. The ammo crafting is half-assed, the live selection is extremely underbaked and adds nothing, the random loot and enemies is just obnoxious, and basically every bossfight in the game (especially the fucking worm) is just awful.

RE2 already did a good job with Mr. X, and RE3 just reuses that idea but couldn't be bothered to actually give you incentive to kill him, so you just run away from him constantly. Knowing that it's pointless to kill him and the tradeoff isn't worth it just deflates any tension out of his encounters.

    >RE3 just reuses that idea but couldn't be bothered to actually give you incentive to kill him
You get better weapons and a shitload of first aid sprays if you kill Nemesis, compared to the handful of ammo you got from Mr. X. If you manage to kill Nemesis in every appearance by the clock tower, he drops infinite ammo for one of your guns.
    >>
    >>12903323
The hospital's good, the park's mostly shit but the dead factory is kino.
    >>
    >>12906973
You waste so much to get that that it's not even worth it. The game gives you a ton of first aid sprays (which kill your rank anyways so there's no point).
    >>
    >>12906987
Outside of the first couple of encounters at the police station where you actually have to be careful with it, you typically have more than enough ammo and health to drop him each time he appears. There's also more incentive to defeat him compared to Mr. X because he usually doesn't just disappear when you leave the room.
Besides, the infinite ammo is really just there as an easter egg for players that want to challenge themselves, most people will only get the Eagle 6.0 on their first or second runs from taking him out through live selections at the restaurant/newspaper office and the clock tower.
    >>
why does this guy constantly make RE threads?

I agree, Nemesis isn't fun to run away from and I find his attack scenes irritating. What's worse is they often expect you to kill him to get goodies, and he isn't fun to dodge.

    >>12906946
It isn't a short game, it's that they took the size of a conventional RE scenario, made that very large, and then gave you the means to speedrun it very quickly. It's rooted in some a good ideas, you can kind of see how they're taking their direction from Dino crisis which also introduced fast action. But as you said the formula either needed padding or it needed a redo.

Bad boss fights, as you say. environment is too wide open and generic. Not much of a story at all, I didn't care a thing about the umbrella mercs. Hardly any backtracking of weird puzzle room flow at all. It's a trial run for what would become Dino crisis 2 but it isn't really a RE game.
