Even moving past that, there's no purpose to this. The intention is that you beat one game, get a password, use it in the second game to play that one. You were *not* intended to jump back and forth between the two games, and who knows what else will break in forcing them to work that way.
It's like if you set up OoTxMM randomizer to be completely vanilla, and just jumped between the two games whenever you wanted. It's asinine and you gain nothing.
