I've been looking for a new game to play since I 100% the one I was on. Is the best version the 3DS? I can probably upscale the psp and 3ds equally but I bet the 3ds has higher resolution textures.

i just played the tutorial on the 3ds version and it's ok, but only ok.
it has some issues like character shading being different (i prefer how the psp version looks) and sounds intermittently not playing, so sometimes i was walking in circles collecting coins for longer than i needed because the sound cue never played. performance wise it was the same as psp even with 3d on, though i did play on a new 3ds and the game natively supports it. i've read that there are some slowdowns on regular 3ds, but i can't be bothered to play the tutorial again on my regular 3ds.

oh, another difference is that on psp triangle centers the camera, square dodges, circle jumps and cross attacks.
on 3ds X dodges, Y centers the camera, A attacks and B jumps.

I played it on a first model 3DS, the only thing I noticed was a weird audio bug where sometimes SFX would get pitched down significantly. usually the jump sound or one of Parin's voice lines when moving around.

you didnt need to do all of this. the rule is to play the original release version always. but in this case i didnt have original version access so i played and beat it on n3ds and the game was perfectly playable and fine

no, it's definitely different. it's much darker on 3ds and lighter on psp while the 3ds screen is worse than psp, so, if it was the screen, it would be the other way around.
