What's your favorite retro puzzler? Note that I mean real brain games, not falling block or match-3 action games which retardedly share the same genre label.
    >>
I've never played any of these but I'm familiar with all of them. Lolo is probably the best one and it's possibly not even close

    Gals Panic

Glad to see Banana mentioned. Literally just came in to suggest Banana.

    >platformers are puzzle games
    >puzzle games are not puzzle games
    Lol, lmao
    Good thread OP

You don't come up with solutions in Tetris. It's a pure action game where the challenge is in stacking the blocks with increasing time pressure.

I recently beat all 100 levels of Spacestation Pheta (pls clap). And in my search for something similar that scratches the same itch, I came across the games by Soleau Software and absolutely love them, though I never played any of them back in the day. Many have gameplay similar to Sokoban but with a sideview where you stack blocks to climb to an exit. I'm currently playing Oracle of Runes and it's really challenging but fun.

    >Assembling a puzzle is not a puzzle because you have to also get good
    Action-puzzles are a thing anon.

My favourite non pictured action-puzzler on NES/FC was Moai Kun

I started playing Wrecking Crew but honestly enemies are super annoying in that game

My all-time favorite has to be pic-related. Also, if you like chu-chu gameplay, be sure to check out "Chew Chew mimic" for the nes.

    >What's your favorite retro puzzler? No, not any of the popular ones, I mean the opposite of the type of game 90% of people think of when they hear "puzzle game".
    Enjoy your dead thread OP

Someone is mad that Hatris wasn't included

How else is OP supposed to ask for your favorite real puzzle games, as opposed to brain-dead tileslop? You won't be able to answer this because you are a retarded subhuman.
    >>
    >>12895802
Solid selection, although personally I'd swap Daedalian Opus for Puzznic, Catrap, Kwirk, or Qbillion.

I get you OP. Even Qix gets called a puzzle game sometimes, just because its an abstract game.

    Yes, many games feature puzzles.

I like Creepers which is like a combination of Lemmings and the Incredible Machine.
