I'm inclined to go STS palkia just because cynthia, cyrus, and mars are all pretty sought after cards and cyrus can basically get any card you want in trade, if you don't actually want to keep it for yourself.

had that fucker in my trade list for months since I got it and I can count the number of offers I've gotten for it on one hand - and not one of those has been for something I actually had in my wish/trade list they're just offering some random planeta slop.
Any time I see someone trading something I want and has absol wishlisted and I offer it - 100% ghost/decline.

It might be a card with high perceived desire and value, but no one actually wants it.
But mega gyarados might still be worth just for copycat since that's almost cyrus level trade value (unless people only want the deluxe version now)

Like, Repel was worth running in the decks that had space for it because "I need to Sabrina their guy out without actually using Sabrina because I need to Oak/CC" was a common enough gamestate
Struggling to think of any possible deck that is so scared of a specific Stage 2 mon they would even consider Max Repel as a tech option, especially since regular Repel still works (and is probably still the better choice) into S2 decks without being a brick into Basic/S1 decks
Basically, is there some batshit endgame scenario where you NEED to force out a Stage 2 while leaving your Supporter option open that I'm not thinking of. Even just in the context of countering an AI deck

After playing Fuecoco EX and the new Charizard, i think it's obvious they're setting Piplup EX to be Blastoise's counterpart for this archetype. Similarly, expect another Grass Starter EX to be Venusaur's buddy (Please Chikorita).

Anyway, expecting Blue stocks to go up. I love Fuecoco as a lead more than Entei and having Boss's Order alone is worth it even without Charizard's +30 ping.

Is my Serena's Choice worth a Cyrus? Seems to be pretty high value, but I'm not sure it'll hold.

I think so. In the early days of Copycat, people felt similar. Gradually people used it more and realized it really gets you out of a lot of tight situations. Serena is still a "draw 1 card" but you have a good chance of getting something you really need the longer you're in the game than what Oak can grant you.

Serena is key for those "FUCK, WHY ARE BOTH OIF MY EVOS THE FUCKING BOTTOM OF MY DECK" games.

I was thinking at least Blastoise may be worth something, using baby Blastoise to Energy transfer waters to Mega so it actually gets its ridiculous attack online. But there's not enough room for that. And it manually takes forever to get online. Most likely scenario is Piplup EX dies and Blastoise isn't ready yet. I love how in the SP1 pack, Froakie is actually usable but most of the others have dogshit energy costs for a lackluster effect. I mean, not like it's "good" but at least you can use the cute art and get an attack out before evolving on turn 2 or something. The others just look pretty, but you're not getting 3 fucking energies on Litten. Be for real now.

Ironically Squirtle is good too. Not sure why they didn't just take the opportunity to give us cool starters with nice effects or something to buff their lines. Even if they all literally just had a "Call for Family" like attack, it'd be an upgrade.

I went or the Lucario pack since it has the most meta relevant mons. Ended up with Planeta Lucario on my alt (or 2b whatever the fuck, it's all 3D slop with zero "artwork" so doesn't matter) and fucking CABBIE. Was hoping for Korrina or Parasol Lady, but that's fine.

Bot farmer here. It's hilarious. It doesn't matter. My AI agents run my accounts now and have smarter AI than the built in AI. I run them locally and they just farm all day. Though getting rid of the step up battles did really hurt how efficient each individual account can farm. So instead of farming hourglasses it's just better to farm for individual cards to sell now. I expect the market to be less saturated with 4500+ hourglass accounts and just focus more on buying 2 stars.

And lillie has an arbitrarily higher stock and availability just because of how many people have and will continue to mass pull that DX set to chase prof. There is already a very high amount of them, and demand isn't going up. Her value can only go down over time.

Compare it to something like Irida. She's the only FA irida option. She comes from a set that is dog shit in current year so no one is pulling there instead of literally anywhere else with better hits (and it doesn't help she's basically the only chase card in the set). The stock is already low and demand stays the same, she will naturally have her value continue to go up.

Evidently, this is why the game will EoS in a year. People will complain that the trading system is too restrictive, but gacha games absolutely cannot function profitably with trading because third worlders will undercut the developer hardcore. Of course, Pokemon Unite was the opposite end of the spectrum in making it pay to win as fuck, but the game becomes unprofitable on either end of the spectrum. Trading was a mistake for the long term.

Yea, the cosmetics in the shop should be how they really make bank. But they're overpriced for most people, they don't re-run (trying to fomo tactic I guess), and honestly there aren't enough of them to be enticing. The Erika pack they started with was actually pretty good, and I thought they would lean more into waifu fanservicing with it. But it's been pretty tame.

There's also no reason they couldn't do things like monetizing attack special effect particle skins, paid PFPs, profile theming, etc. The cosmetics in this game are all pretty lame. It doesn't feel like there are many ways to really express yourself and they could really push that forward. They made an entire Team Rocket theme and you're telling me they didn't bother making it a bonus for if you have a full (paid) Team Rocket set on? Imagine how many people would pay just to not hear the same fucking song every single match. It was a breath of fresh air and they limited it to just NPC battles that will never return instead of monetizing it. What a fucking waste.

He should have let you pick one of the 3 cards in his "shop" and then rental card it into your hand like the new Sweet Honey card. Missed opportunity to make him actually useful. It wouldn't even be broken, you're still just getting a single fucking item card from using a trainer, but you get the interesting flexibility of deciding which of the 3 items you want. Because there's no reason to ever include those items individually in your deck, but having the ability to summon one of them when you really need them actually makes them somewhat useful. AND it would thematically make more sense. You don't go to a fucking store to buy something you already had in your fucking pocket. You get something you DIDN'T have stocked up already. AND AND AND it would be a fitting pair with Pokemon Center Lady, who acts as kind of a combination of 2 different item cards; her entire utility is "you may not need a potion, but you need the status heal. Or you may not need the status heal, but need the potion." The flexibility of PCL is what makes her worth using. This dude has NO flexibility. Which is sad because I'd love to see him bent over so his head is poking out from between his knees.

Super bummed out because I actually like his art. I would probably try to fit him in decks if he did something like that. They JUST introduced the rental mechanic so it would be fitting to have at least one other fucking card make use of it as well. So disappointed. Nobody is including those shit items cards in their deck, of course they're not putting his cute squeezable ass in the deck either with how tight space (and his ass cheeks) are.

If you're against sleepscam you can pull a full heal out, if you don't want to deal with a stage 2 you get max repel, and if you're against neither you just get to generate a universally good heal so its not a complete waste.
Instead you have to have him and at least 2 cards eating up 3 valuable deck slots (two of which might be useless depending on what you're against). Its like they don't even play their own game to know how bad this is. The only way it can possibly be good is if they release a really powerful card that status cucks itself (like the snorlax that sleeps itself on attack, but actually good)
