Game Freak should have never given into the anime in the first place when it's the actual games themselves that set the rules and standards to be used throughout the rest of the franchise, not the other way around.I bet that's the same reason why GF removed Pikachu's anime cry (and Eevee's anime cry too) after they added that shit to the games years ago and ended up reverting it back to its classic and original game cry.Though there's still a loud, vocal minority in the fanbase trying to push the games to use cringey anime-style cries for all Pokemon. You can dislike zodiac theory if you wish, but the fact all fire starters do seem to have some inherent relationship to animals found on zodiacs in asia based off the chinese one (Vietnam, I think, used a croc in its 12 animal roster) only reinforces the fact it can't be outright dismissed. What weapon is Primarina, because to me, she's a Siren from Greek Myth, adapted to the pokémon world, with a heavy dose of "female solo singer" mixed in.
