I swear donuts are like $7 each minimum these days its honestly quite bizarre. I have to get them so rarely because they are just too damned expensive, we avoid Krispy Kreme in Australia because they are notoriously overpriced. But even Donut King started charging through the nose for the most basic selection.You can get like 6x icing donuts with sprinkles are the grocery store for maybe $8 but they are inferior quality, it's just not fair. Lately some company called San Churros started muscling in on the terf but they feel very pompous hippy / progressive place to go all the plug-eared nose ringed hipsters with dyed hair go their for Coffee / Churro with dipping sauce f'ing lame.Anyway, I'd rather eat syrup off this fine bun bum

Those tend to work better with regular glaze.Deep fried is fine when it's any other place, whether it's a mom-and-pop garden variety doughnuts & coffee place or some upscale doughnut joint.
