Mawile is weird, besides getting a Mega, obviously, she's been getting more and more of a spotlight in terms of marketing in the last few years. She was one of the headliners of the "Please don't attack me!" plush series, got this one Miku song + a Miku designed after her, and even got to dance onstage with Miku after Mega Evolving in the Poke Miku concert. Aside from that she shows up on random merch every so often. So while she hasn't gotten much of anything in the games past her very very well done Mega, she's become something of a C-lister in terms of Pokemon merchandising long, long after her debut generation which I believe is pretty unheard of.

For me, he got a mega and I do like his design. Although I was disappointed by the ability they gave him, I'm not competitive savvy so it doesn't matter too much to me.
