Considering how not too long after that, Iwata told IS that the entire franchise was getting shelved if Awakening didn't sell, in an alternate time it would have been Poké Emblem that saved FE from a string of poor sales. Everything from map and unit designs to the very mechanics of how combat works make it the easiest FE, bar none. Not even Sacred Stones, Echoes, or fucking 3H come close. This is part of why it was massively successful with casual audiences, who were in it more for the social sim/shipping and the actual gameplay did not get in the way for them.
