It does work through protect. I tried a dragon cheer meme team to okay success. It's extremely funny when it works but a lot of times it doesn't. I had a guy desperately intimidate cycling my Salamence while I slashed everything to death. I have slash on Feraligatr in the same team. Feraligatr hits like a truck especially if you get a dragon dance. My problem with Salamence is it's too frail and everyone beelines to kill it and only having single target moves works against it.

I used Salazzle too. It's not an amazing team but I was able to climb to master ball twice with it. It's just once I get into master ball it gets raped. Salazzle is actually the MVP. Sludge bomb takes care of Rillaboom and heat wave takes care of steel types. Milotic feels extremely weak when the opponent doesn't have intimidate. Feraligatr is extremely funny against a late game Archaludon if you already have cheer up. Annoying quirk about dragon cheer is it only gives you plus 2 if you're a dragon type. As in you can't get cheered as base Feraligatr then mega evolve to a dragon later for +2 crit. You probably noticed I don't have slash on Salamence but it's really much easier to immediately spam hyper voice with it. It's so hard to bring Salamence in because everyone over prepared for it.

The problem is too many dragon types. I already have to bring a poison and steel type to deal with fairies. Milotic is the only way to deal with scarf Garchomp which is everywhere. Feraligatr is EVed to only outspeed modest Mega Garchomp Z after dragon dance because it can't outspeed timid. There's surprisingly not a lot of Pokémon that learn dragon cheer. I considered Rampardos or Hisuian Goodra over Milotic as a trick room mode dragon cheer setter but then I need a trick room setter. Indeedee is anti synergy with the team and I can't replace Rillaboom who deals with enemy Milotic. Farigiraf is dead space. I tried a couple random things with little success. This is basically the final iteration on this team that sort of works.

What could they do to make Mega Charizard X good? It's on the title screen. It's in all the promotional material. No one uses it. It has belly drum and dragon dance, it's immune to burn and has moves that actually benefit from its ability. Basically anything a physical attacker could ask for minus a way to block intimidate.

No, sort of. You can't clone/generate them and have them retain the Go stamp. I don't know if clones still pass the Home sniff test to get in. The current thing in Go is every spoofing client now has cracked the shiny algorithm and can just teleport you to shinies across the globe.
Everything in/from Go will be underleveled, though. You evolve without leveling and the level cap is 50 even if you wanted to level them.
Sprigatito had a community day a while ago which gives 1/20 shiny odds and only spawns Sprigatito.

Don't like the Zard set much, but I undeestand the speed to go faster than Basc.
The 32HP doesn't really put you out of range of big hitters. It needs so very little SpAtk investment because it's just the guy. The extra 5% damage is seldom if ever making a 2hko into a 1hko or a 3hko into a 2hko.
The one I posted earlier was designed for if you don't have speed control in whims, since Heliolisk can kind of do that for you, and it outspeeds Hisuian Arcanine while surviving a rockslide from adamant Sneasler, Chomp, Excadrill, (non STABs)
The team I posted also had Venusaur so you could avoid needing speed control at all.
Sylveon or Gambit is up to you, but I do think I would edit my Sylveon set more since there'd be no tailwind, the 5 Spe is a waste.

On the topic of Sylveon if you watch the spic cup it's a twitch drop. Might want to mention it in the next OP.

Maybe it was just the matchups but Venusaur felt like dead weight for quite a few of them if Sun got removed. A lot of rain teams now also seem to be running 2 of Politoed, Pelipper and/or Sableye along with Arch and Golisopod. The latter two wall Venusaur and a lot of the supplementary Pokemon in general and Toed and Pelipper can also hit Venu back just as hard. Golisopod is definitely the biggest issue for the team though given how strong and tanky it is. I know Venu is used for Sleep Powder but I do wonder if Earth Power or Weather Ball might be a better option so it can at least hit it for decent damage.
