They really nerfed Kim hard with the recent change. Sure she hits harder now, but she almost never does follow up attacks because the enemies aren't marked until she attacks first, so she kinda just sits there doing nothing. Araha on the other hand is a major improvement. Before she would often either be out of range or the attacking enemy would be getting LoS blocked by other enemies. Now that she does random targets, even if she can't get the attacking enemy, she'll at least slap something in range. The fact that she has effectively permastealth now makes all her extra AP actually useful and makes her very autobattle friendly. The personal buff for the secretaries that the new girl gives are very strong, but the secretaries themselves still have glaring flaws and can't take full advantage of them. Overall the new girl is perfectly viable on her own, but I would recommend pairing her with at least Araha.

You could already get away with not using traits before. These gold traits are just whale and FOMO bait.

Applying traits from the trait inventory costs scissors the same as transferring them from mercs/vanguards. If you transfer a trait from a merc to the inventory it will consume the scissors then, but not later when you take it out of the inventory since you already used a scissor on that trait.

It's especially egregious on 4x speed as it doesn't simply speed up animations, it's literally overclocking the game and its processes. This causes some things to be skipped like flag checks and triggers. This can also happen when skipping animations. If you want things to work properly, then you need to play on 1x speed. 2x isn't as bad as 4x, but you can still gets bugs. That being said, the game is so easy that you're hardly going to run into situations where certain triggers and effects just not working actually screws you over.
damn it's been 2 days since I figured out how to set defense missions and I'm less than 6% of the way to being able to make one gold trait. this would almost be ok if not for the fact that forging is completely random, so getting the specific one you want will probably take years.

The comment in the image is 100% correct, but not for the reason he's stated. It's not about 'how the community will react', it's about how the community has already reacted. The more positive feedback an entry gets, the more they know it'll guarentee sales. Just look at the previous contest's results. All of the winners had very high amounts of engagement and the winner not only had the most, but was made by a known artist with a following. Lo an behold when she dropped the game got a massive influx of new players that had never heard of the game before. Ultimately the contest characters are products and they're going to pick the one that they think will sell the most. As it currently stands there's really only two options for that, being Anon's giant, and the aforementioned artist's bee themed girl. As it currently stands those two entries in addition to 2-3 others (all anons btw) are the only ones using real art, everything else is slop. If mine doesn't at least get an honorable mention, then I'm not resubmitting it next year, assuming I'm even still playing this game.
