I feel you on the point of never finding a unit to use the binding world bond on. Whenever I do find a unit I'd be okay to use the bond on it happens to be on a unit that has all of their skills stripped from its kit or a yesteryears build that is no longer viable in today's meta.

Most of the Heroes player base has either quit or play extremely sparsely. I had to clear a bunch of people on my friend's list because they haven't played in several months.
I also distinctly remember making my proxy unit someone you couldn't use a Otherworldly Bond on because I didn't want someone taking a unit I spent so many orbs and other resources on and just getting them for practically no effort. Yes, I'm fully aware this is a dumb way of thinking.

I have no idea what the fuck most units do anymore and rely on combat forecast. There's so much shit that taking into account everything and planning more than a turn ahead feels impossible and sometimes the math gets so fucked that it doesn't seemingly make any sense. so you get shit like "0x2>0x2=94dmg". I like Fire emblem, and I can play casually to collect favorites and still have fun.
I also just like FEH. It got me to try out a lot of the older FE games years ago after using them in FEH, like Seliph in FE4, Sophia in FE6, and Matthew/Serra in FE7. The story is ass in a lot of ways but I've come to grow fond of it, and overall it's something to look forward to each week.
IMO there's a lot of tragedy about FEH. It attracts a lot of schizos so discussion online can be a pain, the naturally tribalistic fanbase of FE shits on it for being a gacha, and IS themselves in some combination of mismanagement and wasted potential, failed to capitalize on FEH's early success, but that's another discussion.
TL:DR
I like Fire emblem, and FEH. I've played it for 10 years and will see it to it's end at this point.

I am just not having fun with this game anymore. Trying (and failing) to get through Arena this week unironically almost made me quit the game entirely. I was trying not to drop to Tier 17, but since my only bonus unit is a +3 unbuilt Muarim, it's looking like that won't be possible. It doesn't help that there's also literally nothing else to do in the game right now besides PvP.

I just said I didn't have a bonus unit besides Muarim and he can barely kill anyone even with the chosen bonus AND the Leif ring. When he DOES get a kill, my entire team just gets wiped out the next turn anyways because everyone and their mother has a fucking Eshmel and another galeforcer. It's just tiring. I'll just take the 3 orbs and be done with it,I don't care anymore.

You can make a strong argument for Eir.

If you look at Fjorm, Eir, and Peony's alts, there's a significant drop for Eir. She's sandwiched by two characters that got far more than her. Made even worse by Eir being a better character.
Reginn is a similar case. Dagr got far more, and even stole her TT story.
If Rat ever gets a SINGLE alt, she no longer has the claim she does now. Those two have alts, and still would.
