Kaen works just for the green blimps, triggering their explosions. For this event you can technically just grab any Supporter with a 3x3 AOE ( Cyclops Princess, Shepherd) and give them the counter elemental bullet and all enemies will go down in one shot. But that has to be set for each element.

The thing with Titania + Beta is that they work for every element. Aternatively you could use any fixed damage unit and it will clear every stage.

At level 1 with no gear or investment, she outsped everyone on my Cyclops Princess team.

Yeah, I think even when I finish getting my dupes from EX4, I'll farm the event for currency because last event I didn't get enough to clear out the green dust and a few other non-essentials, probably because I stopped farming it after I got the dupes I needed and went back to 6-8ex for resource farming.
Doesn't help that this event has way worse explorations, can't even get 4 going every 4 hours.

It was mostly the new illustrations and full voices than the actual content, since it barely covers chapter 1. But yeah, screwing the rest of the game is really not worth it.

Honestly they should focus on a thing at once, rework the story, then, after they are done, go back to the basics and game mechanics. Most people cared more about it than the " new system" anyway.

I can't remember 'cause I read it months ago in the dev letter, but it sounded like combat was changing fundamentally at every level. Like going from an AP system to a skill cooldown system, and changing how buffs/status work.

Not a KRfag so I don't know what exactly they changed but from what I can tell at least they got rid of rounds and made characters act when their turn came up instead. It sounds like that plus everything else they did pretty much broke the whole game. IIRC there was another gacha game that died after trying to completely change up its gameplay.

They got rid of the round mechanics, so everything flow continuously instead of going per rounds. That obviously breaks a ton of shit based on rounds, like buffs/debuffs. And for this they also tried to unify speed and AP, but again, no success yet.

Then the effects of some buffs/debuffs were limited, for example elemental resistance could not go below a certain threshold ( -150% I think), while now you can reach like -600% on bosses like Ravager. They did similar for defense penetration.

So basically, a completely different game and all units will have to be reworked to some extent.

I'm not really against them trying new things, but basically deleting everything and starting from scratch WHILE also reworking the story ALL at once, seems like way too much for any well funded company, even less so for a relatively small one like valofe.

I think starting small would yield better results:

Working on just the story should be relatively simple, start with that and after you are done ( months if not years later) then try new things with either small tweaks or new features like minigames or other modes where they can use some of the mechanics they intend THEN they can move that to the main game.
