My first Intangible Barrier this time gave me no good buffs at all, so I got 26 minutes.
I've tried many times, still can't get any of the good buffs, only like 1 of them, and my time is 18 minutes
Usually my time has been 16 minutes without even trying...

I just realized that my max dupe Maya has better stats than my Shiroi with 1 dupe, so I've been looking at stats, and the maxed out red haired low rarity tank has better stats than Catherine if she's maxed out too. They made dupes so good in new CN Witch that all of the low rarity characters have better stats than the rainbow UR characters. Unless you have max dupes of your URs, then the UR will be a little bit better stats wise

Of course, the skills are what really matters, and even if my naked Maya has like 3k more attack than my naked Shiroi, Shiroi's modifier is 900% compared to Maya's 600%

People on bilibili are bemoaning the fact that there are 4 must pulls this patch (Amorai, Princess Amanami, Shiroi, Cersivey)
I still don't think Princess Amanami is exactly a must pull, I think you can skip her if you want, but she is very very good

My time on the last boss was 298 seconds (~5 minutes) though, so I don't know how the time is calculated. It might be the total time to beat all of the last elites or something

I think I already asked this, but have any of you maxed out a UE or used your enhancement potions yet?

The fucking Intangible Barrier takes so god damn long, even with Shuffle and Amanami, that I'm thinking of maxing out my magic team just to deal with it faster. Apparently Mayahuel is better for Intangible Barrier since she shreds 50% mdef vs Shiroi's 45%, though I'd still rather raise Shiroi, since it's only a difference of like 15 seconds and Shiroi is better everywhere else.

I also noticed that Amorai can't spam heal. Some animations are just long. In Burst, the extra Order energy ends up just being wasted because she can't spam fast enough to clear it. If by "always slow" you mean was it like that in GL, then yes:

iirc, you're supposed to beat each colored beast with a team of that element, but Amanami (and Shuffle) deal % based damage, so I just used an Amanami team on all of them because she did better than at least my Saltstone team did. I think they had less HP than the current Intangible Barrier bosses, but I think they still had a lot of HP. So if your Saltstone team is shit, just use Amanami and/or Shuffle, and you'll be fine probably

Also, it's fucked up that they show Tuonel of Night on the picture, and she did release for CNY, but they aren't giving her to us

No, but this game (despite having JP voices) was never released in Japan, and I suspect that the reason might be due to the fact that the Witch looks so much like Elaina. I really don't understand why they went with that design when they had other good ones too. Apparently they drew 600+ sprites for the Witch, so maybe Elaina became popular after they had already drawn all of the Witch's sprites and they didn't feel like redoing it? Not sure. This game came out like a year after the Elaina anime I think

I maxed out my Shiroi UE and I gave her level 3 of the enhancement potions thing. I also have 1 dupe, so she has the health increase from dupes. She has 90k hp, and that still wasn't enough for her to tank Intangible Barrier. Maybe if I played manually it would be, but I'm not going to do that. There's a samurai girl without any enhancement potions in rank 17. There's also this SSR unit (I forget her name) with 3 tiers of the enhancement potions in rank 9. That's impressive. I never noticed him before. He even beat the Shuffle guy. Iirc, this doll does both physical and magical damage, so I guess he just only presses the physical one.

Magic team.
Eddine and Amanami can barely survive the last boss but Shiroi can't so I had to choose p.defense cards for her.
For the skills, I alternate between Eddine order and Amanami order, using the Eddine order when the buff is about to wear off.
For the last boss I do the same except I keep the Amanami order always when the boss is like 3 bars left because the punch he throws is too strong.

My Shiroi can have 90k hp so she's fine as tank, but my Eddine and Amanami have ~65k hp because I don't have the dupes (and only lvl20 UE), so they die to the laser beam starting with the 3rd health bar. I'mma be honest bros, they just keep rerunning the same events from last year, and they don't even properly rotate the dolls anymore. They never released any of the battle pass dolls after Matwife, and they just keep rerunning dolls like Kapla over and over again, and they still haven't released any of the "EoS" dolls that GL or CN got. I'm happy the Witch actually Revived and I'm glad I got her a second time, but I dunno how much more of this I can take. I don't even have any dolls to look forward to because they aren't rerunning the good ones anymore or releasing any of the battle pass ones I want like Sticc.

They did not release any new characters from what GL got. The extra characters that CN got that GL did not get (like blacksmith) have not been released. They ran a Mattie banner while she was still the battle pass doll and people who bought the pass got angry, and as a result they have not released any of the other battle pass dolls into the general pool. There are even less dolls than there were in GL because of this. They have rerun the same events with no differences, and we're looping into them now in the 2nd year. The banner dolls just keep looping and being the same ones over and over. Like Kapla, who the fuck wants a doll that doesn't even have a UE? They didn't make a UE for her in New witch. I'm happy I got a second Witch, but there is no longer anything to look forward to. I wanted to max out Kamui (Sticc) but they won't even run her banner. It's been like an entire year since she was on the battle pass.

Then I wonder what was the point of rebooting the game, since this feels like it will bleed more money or generate overall less profit than the OG launch. Will be funny if this game lasted longer than the previous EoS (I'm calling money laundry).

I still stand by my old suggestions, game needed way more marketing, being playable in Japan, getting collab (so many witch/mage/puppet anime characters, even Persona will be fine), consistent story release etc.

They got rid of the Isabel OP meta which I think is fine, but if there are no new characters to pull than the game will still be stagnant. It is heartbreaking to see this fail again.

I think what happened is that Yostar or Pixel Neko sold some new company the game, and they just ran the game again as it was, for some extra money. I'm thankful for it, don't get me wrong, but I don't know how much more I'm willing to log into New Witch knowing that we're not getting the CN characters or even the battle pass dolls added to the pool, and especially when they just keep running the same non meta dolls over and over and over again.

Alright Witchbro(s), I don't mean to be a doomer, but I think I'm gonna stop logging in. Not gonna uninstall yet, but I just have no desire to do exactly the same events again now that they're rerunning them. I loved the Revived Revived Witch and I'm glad she came back, but I think this is the end for me. I might check once a week to see what the banners are since I have infinite gems I haven't used, but I don't think I'm logging in daily anymore.
