Definitely intended to be played with friends.It's fine playing solo, there's story and quests to do, 1.0 update added voiceover to every note in the game, doubt anyone would listen to that with friends yellling in the background.But combat is mediocre so it's not really exciting to play, unless you like building.
I played the shit out of Enshrouded over the summer. Looking forward to getting back on with 1.0 once I've got some downtime, currently too busy to let myself get sucked into it though. My last project was fixing up the "Rat Infested Outpost" in the Nomad Highlands. Still needs work, the structure is all there but I need to figure out how to dress it up well without resorting to the usual "spam flowers everywhere" strategy since it doesn't fit the biome or the "desert trading post" vibe of the place.
