I play in carebear lobbies, and although I had my fun in PvE mode trying out all the legendary weapons, I'm not sure if it's the right call to make it a separate mode. I think maybe a PvE map condition that's frequent and alternates between all the maps might be the best middle ground without splitting the playerbase.

Arc Raiders raiders should have legendary augments, I feel like the dropped the ball not including any for this update. I feel like it would be fun to have a Shani Security augment where if a raider is killing players or profiled as aggressive enters within a certain range from you, she warns you over the radio.There could be a Tian Wen augment that gives you ammo safe pockets, and makes ammo and mods weigh "0" in safe pockets and weapon slots.I'd fuck with a Celeste Gathering augment, could have the most safe pockets + inventory in the game but it automatically breaks items down into your inventory. Would obviously synergize with that max recycle perk.An Ermal Augment could be cool, maybe you trade for it from him and it'll let you carry a certain percentage more of items in each slot.

Im normally in Chungartha lobbies because I don’t usually have anything to gain from PVP. Been trying to do Emperor for hours the last few days but get bad spawns, or die to bullshit like bad snaphook grabs. Last game of the night, im kitted as fuck for another attempt. Spawn in fairly close and meet another guy who is down to run Emperor. We get to the opened hatch at like 28 min and some guy rushed in to the new Emperor dungeon like 1 minute into a match and managed to immediately set up a ton of mines and barricades, several mines on the elevator as well. it was so excessive compared to previous lobbies. Me and 2 other guys caught up to him on voice chat and said “dude whats with the traps asshole you cant carry all this loot out yourself anyway” he said “fuck you it’s my key eat shit” and wouldnt budge. We said the key is easy to make stop being a whiney bitch etc, he keep jeering us. So we decided to wait for him to finish the dungeon and we would jump him. Climbed the Emperor, then sprung in as soon as the loot room opened, I toss showstoppers and run in and gunned him down. Dude was kitted to the gills, had an Amplified Hullcracker and Amplified Kettle. He was cussing us out on voice comms I told him he was a selfish cunt and deserved to die. It was just me and one other at that point, (I already trusted him because I had shot him earlier thinking he was the asshole, he talked me down and I healed him, he never shot back.) Homie looted with me, found an Emperor module which I gave him a wolfpack for, and I was able to then upgrade my gun bench then finally amplify like a dozen of my weapons and complete the Emperor quest. Made even better because asshole had an Alabama retard type accent and said he would report me for exploiting. I never do a rat playstyle but this was soooo worth it. I am looking forward to some mixed lobbies for a bit

They are not RPGs, they are first and foremost sessions shooters, with loot and NPCs serving as incentives and modulators of emergent of emergent gameplay (situations that happen because of loot, gear and ARC, that would not happen sans the extraction system). If you think there is, then you don't play the game for the game - your gameplay is the stash. There is no real road from A to B in the nature of the gameplay, the only way to make such a road is to artificially gate shit for no reason other than dragging it out. That does not compliment the gameplay, and only makes it extremely tedious. You could just as well say that CS2 has no pace.One could argue that gating makes sense in the vein of not overwhelming nooks with too much content, but even in that sense - I believe that even AR is actually too slow, with workshop improvements serving as pointless bloat. Loot in Arc Raiders serves no purpose outside of eventually being used in more raids, directly or through turning in some of the quests for gear to be used in more raids or upgrading other loot to be used in more raids. The outcome of raids is never measured by the value of loot carried out, there are no loot-based leaderboards or other means of comparing yourself with other players or squads regarding how good you loot. Optimal looting strategies focus on minimazing gameplay - you route through spawn areas avoiding both arc and players at extract ASAP, so you have to avoid actually playing Arc Raiders in order to gather the most loot. You can play Arc Raiders for 500 hours on free kit and be a top player without picking up one single item to carry out of the raid. You gather loot in order to raid, not raid to gather loot. Once you get beyond midgame, you end up taking in more than you take out on half or more of your raids. Extraction shooters are session shooters with loot serving as a conduit to emergent situations: it directs players to meet each other and NPCs in various locations, at various power differentials, with various setups, which is "the whole game". You get in, use your skills with kit building, movement, shooting, tool use, map knowledge, match progression and interpersonal communication to fight NPCs and other players (in whatever proportion you prefer), defeat them and get out (the actual win condition). The loot taken on the way is merely the means to do it again later, with the same or different capabilities provided to you.
