>go to world boss>one guy theredead game
>>3052170Be that as it may, it's good to have a thread to fall back to.
Then at least get it going with these (they were posted in the last thread but good stuff to discuss): >Chris Wilson on D5:https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Fenjcmb_fks>Rhyker's interview with Shelly and some other dude about D5 development:https://youtu.be/Bpx6icURFjY?t=11
>>3052171season is over, bro
I don't give a fuck what mr fake voice mccringe thinks about diablo 5 no matter how much you post it.
>>3053593cool, it was an interview
With Diablo just outright winning at the start of D5, it becomes more and more impressive how badly Malthael fucked EVERYTHING up by breaking the Black Soulstone. Sure, the stone wasn't going to last forever, but it probably would've lasted another decade or so since most of its energy had been lost when Prime Evil Diablo died. Breaking it wasn't even part of his plan either, it was just a desperation move to try to beat the Nephalem; even if he did win the fight, he was absolutely gonna get fucked by having all the Hell Lords inside him at the same time.
>>3056532>Malthael fucked EVERYTHING up by breaking the Black SoulstoneI think the soulstone would've lasted much longer had Malthy not taken it. We don't know the full extent of its properties after Diablo's defeat unless there were some dialogues I missed. Also Malthael went crazy after wandering the halls of pandemonium for ages so his plan was definitely half-baked.>NephalemOne big hole in blizz's usually okay writing (D4 notwithstanding). Instead of doing something cool with him or make him into some overarching mentor they do nothing. Are we supposed to believe that a being that was able to harness all that power within would just wither and die? C'mon now, not a chance. The character deserves the acknowledgement at the very least like "The Nephalem disappeared, lost to the unknown power/phenomena" or sth like that. It wouldn't be top tier writing but it'd be better than nothing. So much potential. Not that I expect anything from blizzard "writers".
>>3052171could be worse.>play ssf>5 other people at world bossI typed "ssf my ass" into chat and one guy responded with "retard". Made me laugh ngl.
>>3060226The Nephalem's absence could've at least been explained away with them chasing Diablo's spirit or they're stuck putting out fires in Westmarch. I get Blizz wanted a darker atmosphere, but it kinda clashes with the point in D3 that Humanity is regaining the Nephalem's strength with the Worldstone's destruction. It makes sense that D3's player character would be among the first to awaken that strength at that time period, but there should be even more running around now, not none.
>>3075417Whatever the in-lore explanation would've been it's criminal they haven't acknowledged his/her existence and the effects of D3 on humanity at large as you mentioned. Fucking hell...
>>3052234more like diablo 4 is over. After that D5 announcement I uninstalled the game.
.
>>3095832for real? i mean, i suppose... it all does feel kind of pointless now. they already spoiled it that we're going to lose in d4 anyway.
i feel bad because i like this game and loved to finish seasons and get everything but i just don't care anymore. i think it's more of a personal issue with life than the game, but i just don't care to play it anymore. :(
>>3096992Think about it. They aren't going to release anything meaningful for d4 anymore. The cosmetics wont transfer over so battle passes don't even matter.
>>3097373>They aren't going to release anything meaningful for d4 anymore.Mamazon?
>>3097373i just don't know how they're going to work out keeping both d4 alive and also doing new stuff with d5, lore-wise. because if d5 is the continuation of the story... then d4 HAS to be rinse-and-repeat season stuff like d3 is now. cause if d4 kept going with new seasons that "add to the story".. then what is d5 doing?? it's just such a weird place for the diablo franchise to be in rn. make it make sense
I know not a single person would agree to this statement, but I don't give a fuck. I would pre-order a Diablo game where it's a cringe anime-esque shonen of Diablo and his brothers as teenagers rising the ranks or usurping some established council. I know it contradicts the established lore and you might as well make this video game without the Diablo title at all, but let me cringepost.
>>3105818D4 story has ended, D5 will timeskip again.
fwiw sounds like next season of d4 has some cool stuff
>>3105818Could be just "local" threats with no impact on the grand design
