The smartest thing financially would instead be to establish some sort of whale economy via the cash shop, minimize development, and ride that long-term to profitability. That's what they did and it was successful. The brilliant attempt from the dev team to change course was KotFE which went over like a lead balloon. From a business POV, Swtor wasn't worthy of additional heavy investment. It was clearly never going to be the MMO phenom they were gunning for. Anthem was their next attempt to snag that next-gen multiplayer, live-service audience, and they ended up shooting even wider than before. I can only conclude that Bioware lost the mandate of heaven after Mass Effect 3. Or you know, should have stuck to what the studio was good at instead of trying to make WoW or Destiny.

After looking at Green lightsabers for over 10 years, I went from tolerating the regular Green crystal, to hating it and switching to regular Blue, to itching for Green and switching to Mint Green, to switching to Desert Green, all the way back to thinking the regular Green isn't that bad and putting it back in. If I had my way, the Knight Ataru disciplines would have Overhead Strike, Plasma Brand, Zealous Leap, Impale, and a passive that allows Force Leap to be used within 10m. Also, Vigilance is now an Ataru class, not Shien. I don't understand how the Ataru class (Combat) doesn't have a bunch of jumping animations. It's baffling.

I took a break recently to catch up on some other games and this is a slow season for swtor, but the rumors for 8.0 have me really excited and I've been playing again. Sort of in a fun way, but a lot of not fun ways too.They've made their own custom tutorial track for teaching you all the different mechanics for crafting/entertaining (Dancing and shit for buffs)/combat, and there's also two different ways you can progress through the main game, "spinning" which is mobbing in a group where everyone takes a quest across a planet, then goes and AOEs shit down, and everyone collects a share of the exp, and you just go up super duper fast, then a traditional track where you do quests then progress from planet to planet (theme parks for specific curated areas).The combat is REALLY barebones. Like, ~5 abilities per class barebones. Some classes get AoE, others don't, so unless you want to kneecap your prog, you really wanna go for like, pistoleer, or carbineer since they get cone AoEs and you can wipe out entire camps in a single cast. I hear it gets better once you've fully decked out (I'm only combat 50, which is a little over half way to cap, I think) because alternative paths like bounty hunters get traps to lay out, and PVP becomes more worthwhile, but for the PVE experience, my first like 3 hours were just a slog of going out to kill shit till I hit the required EXP to next skill rank, then go back inside, talk to an NPC (or player if they were around since they can level you up for free), rank up, get one new move (or just some stats for some ranks), and go right back out.The entire jedi system here is wildly changed from what it was in live, here you have to get 'sparked' basically, and unlock force sensitivity, then go through a series of quests and waypoints across the galaxy. It's cute.But besides the random chance for a spark, the only way to guarantee is 10 months of CONTINUOUS daily logins.I don't think I'll hit that, I'm already pretty close to bored. 6/10. econ's fucked.

Health, Action, Mind (HAM). Different classes do different things with these meters. If you're a doctor? You use Action for in-combat skills. You also use Action if you're say, a carabineer. So, you can burn through a lot of your Action very quick.Now, that would normally just be annoying, but here, ANY resource bar being drained? incap, KO. So if you don't build properly (or have a team to cover your weak ass) you're entirely capable of KOing yourself in the course of a fight, or at least crippling yourself and leaving yourself open to someone to make a targetted attack to one of your bars. Can be a godly health tank but if you've got a weak mind, watch out.Anyway, so, a lot of people like pre-CU because of the systems just being a lot more grandiose, crafting is SUPER important, there's stuff that drops from high end mobs, but crafting is the meat and potatoes of most gear you'll ever see, and it decays at a rate you really aren't ever going to be at a "post crafter" economy. The player housing matters because you have to put down roots and build your own cities on the planets to establish buildings and if you're in a spot that's near popular mobs you can tax crafters who want to set up shops there, you can put down a cantina and dancers can buff patrons inside and you can get a cut of tips, stuff like that. It's really rp-friendly.also I was wrong it's SWG Uprising, not infinity that's new.

In reality that is almost the because the DW DoT spec is the best (But boring to play) but the other DW classes are slightly outperformed by Vengeance. But everything is viable, it comes down to flavor. DW has a few seconds of stealth which can be nice to ignore annoying mobs in daily areas and very strong in PvP.
