First time ever coming to /vm/. I saw the paladins general on the 4chan homepage, so I decided to check if there was one for smite. I used to check from time to time on /vg/, but I never found any smite general, so I assumed there weren't any because smite wasn't popular enough, and because the smite community is basically tranny libtards that wouldn't come to 4chan.

So was there always a smite general here? Or is it newer? Also do you guys play smite 1 or smite 2? I dropped smite completely when the garbage that is smite 2 dropped (I really tried to like but I just couldn't), so I haven't been keeping up with smite news. Is the full release gonna be this january?

I want to give the game one last chance when it fully releases. This game was such a big part of my gaming life. Especially after season 6-ish. It was the main game I used to play. I would play nearly every day, with my friends. We were 7. Now we all dropped it, and there's just one guy that still likes, even though he dropped it initially. I tried playing with him a couple times, but it just doesn't hit the same. The visuals are shit, the sound design is horrible, the colors are garbage, and even the gods don't feel the same.


Also on a side note, I browsed a bit through some archive to look up old /smgen/ threads. I saw a lot of lermy mentions. Why is she a meme here? She's also jewish btw if anyone didn't know, I remember she mentioning it on her stream, but I guess you guys already know that.

Make "server rollups" never have been a thing. That mechanic killed non-NA servers stone dead.
What it was meant to do was to wait until the system knew it couldn't make any matches on local servers, then match you into populated servers (read:NA) regardless of ping.
What it actually did was queue you on NA the instant you joined the queue regardless of what your local server was. Until Hirez removed it your choices were to play with 300 ping or not play at all, and a lot of people correctly chose to quit.

The comeback mechanics in the game are such bullshit and it drives me crazy that it's not complained about more. All I can think is that most people are dogshit at the game and prefer to be able to get back into the game from one kill after losing every neutral sitting under tower for 10 straight minutes.

Couple reasons, if you're in a bad matchup or fall behind after getting ganked you're never gonna be able to contest those neutrals without someone else roaming to bail you out. So proxying lets you skip said bad matchup without the risk of dying, if the enemy god commits to chasing you they lose a whole wave worth of xp and gold. Meanwhile you are free to steal jungle camps/ back/ place some deep wards. It also lets you get a recall off without giving your opponent enough time to back letting you get an item advantage that may skew the matchup more in your favour.

Yes and no, obviously you gotta pay attention to the minimap, if jungle was spotted in duo lane then you're free to fuck around proxying. Don't do it on timers when jungle is gonna be there like when rocks are spawning. It also depends on your god as well. I proxy the shit out of my opponents on Rat aspect because he fucking sucks and I know I'll never beat a Mordred or Cu. The ult lets me never have to worry about jungle so once I get the damage to proxy I just quit laning.

Personally? Mongolian, Native American, Finnish, and Zoroastrian. Aztec too, but I feel like lorez would say they're too close to the Mayans. I'd actually really like to see something wild out of left field like Cthulhu again, but I don't know what they could realistically add that could also fill a new pantheon.
