Before Nabel the last raid I did at release was Isys and I told myself I'd take this level cap more seriously and got week 1 Nabel clears and I have several characters at Delezie fame but the raid is already dead content in Korea so I don't know if I can even be bothered to learn it when it's basically DOA for us.
I could farm Delezie like a madman for 40 weeks for a 20% damage increase or I could just wait for the next season and increase my damage by 1200% in one FP bar.

With the end of Delezie Raid, this gives Delezie's story a closure it needs. On hindsight, nobody really won the Maleficent-Celestial war.

If completing Bakal Raid gives you a sense of liberation and triumph, this raid leaves you in an empty and bleak victory. The ending OST - Undawn did an excellent job conveying the conclusion. I hope they will keep doing this format for the future raids, giving it an ending theme song.

There's two friend lists in DFO, character and explorer club lists. Explorer club is account wide and is mutual, you need somebody's permission to add them and then you'll both see which character on your respective accounts you're currently playing. It's how you keep track of which of their 100 alts your friends are playing if all your alts can't fit into one guild.
The character list is one sided, you can add people to yours without their permission and will be notified when that character logs in and what channel they're in. People often use this to stalk cute female mages.
This patch there was a notice that the character list was getting removed and merged into the explorer club list. Is the implication that next patch I'm going to send explorer club requests to every single female mage on my stalk list?

I feel like 110 cap, the very start, was the last time the game had any soul whatsoever. When they bothered to program in that stupid little gae bolg shooting minigame with the insane music. And the roguelike mode. Choosing where you farmed stuff, the difficulty levels of the different dungeons.

Was the korean reception to that era of the game the end of DFO as a whole? You can trace a straight line from "people hate it" to the game turning into what it is today. You could focus farm the stuff you wanted and there was a pity system. Gear primarily came from actually running regular dungeons (with higher difficulty having better rewards) instead of pulling the hell mode slot machine. Your reward for doing difficult content was directly getting drops (even exclusive drops) rather than just getting a bunch of free hell mode runs. Noblesse Code even let you gear multiple characters at once right at tbe start of the cap. The gear all had cool gimmicks and most of it was viable to some extent even if there were clear winners. It was extremely easy to complete your "set" and then you just increased its strength over time by feeding gear to it, instead of praying for epic / primeval drops. There were like 8 whole dungeons to farm and they all gave good shit. You actually got to play your main instead of running hells all day on them. The music and visuals were all fantastic too.

It got worse over time and grinding your gear up stronger was painful but it offered such an explosively good experience right out of the gate. Most of the bad parts of the cap were the parts that they added in response to Korea complaining, the parts that resemble this cap.

Most of 110 was mismanaged to hell, the rocks were really fucking bad because it took way too long to level your gear up which only ever made it slightly better than now and they didn't address it until it was way too late. I also really hated customs though I hate gear with DIY effects you grind for in general given it always encourages tunneling into one specific configuration for like 90% of classes after everything has been optimized ruining some of the intended fun. It's not like the cap didn't have potential but even without Koreans being upset they really didn't know how to properly realize that potential.

The primeval and the legendary were for the set I'm currently using so that's pretty good.
I think the limiting factor this time is going to be the oath crystals, not the oaths themselves, so getting the crystals out of the way first is best.
From what I understand once you get two primeval oaths you can buy a primeval oath selective box and be done with the oath but it's getting the three matching oath crystals that's going to be a pain.

It won't be as flashy as DFO because you can't just press a button and hit the whole room in Khazan, but I think the greatsword does get AOE moves.There are also some that are locked behind specific armor sets

Final Trial is a pretty fun dungeon. The visuals are cool as fuck and the gimmicks aren't punishing enough to force you to use a guide, you can actually fail them a couple of times and still not die while figuring them out.
Meanwhile I still have no idea how the second phase of the final boss of Castle of Apostate works, I know you're supposed to use your item on him but he only ever does an attack I can react to once during the whole pattern and you need to do it twice to not die.
Final Trial feels a lot better designed in comparison.

I did it at a little above cutline without a guide and it kicked the shit out of me, I think I died 6 times to Beonarr, who I never figured out his gimmick at all, I think it's attack during his yellow aoes but I could not get it to work for the fuckin life of me. I got it done within 8 tokens but it was rough. Cool as shit fights though, and definitely agree that phase 2 of that fuck in Castle of Apostate sucks.
Not really sure I understood the first fight's mechanics either, but didn't die there so clearly I was doing something right.

It's funny how they keep trying to do Largo again but they completely miss one of the key points that made him work and that was that the rewards were actually worth it. If you managed to beat C4 Largo, once a month, you'd get a guaranteed upgraded fusion selection box, no strings attached. This made the content worth doing and worth learning.
Meanwhile Ergon and Venus didn't give you anything special for beating their powered up forms. I beat Unleashed Venus during week 1 and didn't even get an epic fusion stone from it. Meanwhile my alts fought the easy version and got some epic fusion stones out of it. I don't even remember what Ergon gave you, some kind of gay branch you can trade in with an NPC that gives you fuck all? I did them once and then just facerolled the lower difficulties for the rest of the time they were relevant.
Apocalypse looks like it won't have any real reason for doing the new difficulty either.

Kind of a consistent problem with their content treadmill, with Labyrinth giving clear tickets for stuff I don't even have to do C2 Apoc anymore, I just fuckin clear the baby mode version of Lopes and move on. The stuff that's hard that actually gives a reward is also stuff that requires coordinating a bunch of other fucking people, so the real difficulty just becomes tard wrangling rather than the content itself, especially at this point of gearing where it's not like HM Delezie is actually hard, you just have to be around on the right day to find a group to do it.
The only primeval oaths I've found are on my shit alt characters, I have found fucking 4 from the SEATS tickets, and literally none on the characters I grind the fuck out of the doom slot machine/apoc with. It just feels pointless to actually do difficult content beyond the novelty of seeing it a few times.
