The idea was that you stick with your mistakes and if you really can't take your fuck up, you have to go back to the last inn save (though it's not like you can brick a playthrough). It's why that insta-kill arrow autosaves when fired and also why it no longer makes sense because it doesn't overwrite your manual save so there's no actual risk of wasting them.

What annoys me about the gear RNG is its kinda hard to determine how good the roll is besides just looking at the augments, trying to keep in my mind the maximum DEF, Mag.DEF, Knockback resist and weight values on top of my head as I scroll through my options is annoying. Should I even bother? No one will care right if I've got a shitty roll of mag.def so long as the augments are good? I wish there was a way to see at a glance how close to perfect it was.
