How do I choose between Insect glaive and dual blades? I prefer the faster weapons that use elemental, so these weapons are my choices. I absolutely adore the idea of having a pet bug, but I really really do not like the aerial shit since its dogshit on damage and takes you away from the action. Dual blades in general are pretty fun due to the high-speed dodges and stuff, and between the two of them i'm not sure which I should main.

The 4u decomp from the huehuezillian is a azahar wrapper and the one from mhvuze is not even close to releasing. MH4U+ from Phemeto has somehow disappeared from the face of the earth so very high suspicions they gave up.
I'm sad about 3rd gen because there's only p3rd with a decent recomp and 3U ones are extremely slow with amateurs at the helm.

As an actual dual blades main, they are definitely low skill floor high skill ceiling. On lower rank monsters they're generally pretty easy to make use of since they don't have a lot of movement or crazy mechanics, which can ease you into the game. That said, at higher rank monsters the lack of any real defensive option really really shows and you need to learn perfect timings on split second dodges and where/how monster hitboxes hit. As with every melee weapon, you can generally get away with a few hits while learning and be fine, but you NEED to learn. When combined with how short your range, needing to manage your stamina and sharpness twice as much as every other weapon, and the general melee need to pack flash and sonic bombs for things that get out of your range, you need to be both positioning and attacking 24/7 or else you will fail on them against monsters that have hard to reach spots or stay away from you all fight. There's the extra layer as well as similar to bowguns you need to prepare for a monster and learn what weaknesses they have to exploit them the best, and especially in older games you need to farm dash juices alongside sets for each element through progression. Dual blades is great for new players, and teaches you to actually learn the mechanics of both fights and preparation and has an increasing skill ceiling the farther you go in the games that no other weapon can match.

Honestly when I play dual blades I am both top damage and top faints a lot of the time. I do so much fucking damage but I also die more than I should due to no defensive options.

Outlanders is pretty fun but holy fuck the gacha is as jewish as it gets

SSR rate 0.6% (on the lowest tier of any gacha)
SSR guarantee = 90 rolls (pity is genshin tier which is terribly high than most other gachas)
SSR 50/50 coinflip cancer
SSR guarantee carries over between banners
SSR coinflip carries over between banners
THERE'S NO SOFT PITY so the rates are 0.6% from Roll 1 through 89, other games increase your chances to roll an SSR starting from 70 or so until its 100% at 90, this game does NOT.

if you roll 120 times in the same banner you are guaranteed the rate up character. But only if you do that in a single banner. It goes away after banner ends.
As usual it all hangs on how much free shit are they planning to give away on events, but holy fuck they went all in on monetization.

The only saving grace is that the game is pretty high quality, its quite fun and you can absolutely just go through everything without spending a single cent. So i would highly recommend to not ever spend money and just pretend its Rise Mobile with gambling mechanics.

Every blademaster except guard Lance in Tri and beyond, cheat blade, and nu-LS does. Blocking is worse than pointless because while you take stamina and chip damage, you also fuck your positioning AND recover too slowly post-block to do anything before the monster's next attack, leaving you much worse off. Also SnS shield can't guard for shit it's basically cosmetic, people calling SnS easy because of shield have never tried using the weapon seriously. Most of what you said applies to other blademaster weapons too. There is a reason women gravitate toward DB.
