That said, I am aware of certain rules and contradictions from the games, so yes those are simply cut. If a character is from the games they can only have traits from the games, if that affects a character who isn't from the games I just roll with it.Without giving away too much. Hope looks like Maria, is descended from Professor Gerald, has disdain for Eggman and works for GUN. Most of her interactions with Archie happen to be with characters from the canon and I think it doesn't really take much alteration. Also, I didn't read the Shadow Files and I probably never will. I wrote the plot and implemented the dialogue long before I knew that book existed.
