I still don't really understand the "choreslop" complaints. You only need to do arena training and meals on Sundays and the sidequests/world map exploration is completely optional since you max Renown by Chapter 10 naturally.Seems to me like it's just new players on their 1st Part 1 route who didn't understand the structure of the game and thought they had to recruit 15 characters, max out every single temple service, and spend every turn manually on the world map between chapters. If you played the game like this, then yes, I could see you coming to the conclusion that the game is 80% "choreslop."But once you finish your first route and start your second, you understand everything is cumulative and that all the tryhard minmaxing during free time is completely unneccesary. Especially since most people are playing on Normal difficulty which can easily be cleared without anything other than weekly arena training.

One thing I do like about FW is that it made the zombie army meme that Awakening kickstarted (poorly) feel like a real aesthetic & narrative choice rather than a plot convenience and morally acceptable punching bags. The underworld stuff and Dagda's Cauldron is something out of Greek myth and favorite moment of the game is when Cai and crew visit the Isle of Balor, has genuine a genuine horror vibe to it and the visuals are creepy and almost decadently cryptic.
