Wow fighting these unmoored world dragon bosses really sucks. Some of these weak spots are hard to get to and for whatever reason climbing controls worse in this game than the first one.

Hot take I think base game on hard mode is harder than dlc.Dlc gear is just way too op even without some of the passives that literally make you immortal. On top of that they just shower you with infinite healing items and items that regen lost hp. Oh what's that I'm in a hard fight good thing I have 200 regeneration elixirs and can aoe heal my entire party to full while the game is paused. Assuming you ignore the lost rites/dlc gear the gear progression in base game on hard mode is way more balanced.

for those that beat the dlc, what was your thoughts about it? for meI thought it was ok, not amazing. konoshiter did his best with what his was given. ironically, he followed the dark arisen 1 design doc closer than what i noticed until after i sat back and thought about it. most of the bosses from dark arisen 1 were there in some form, except for animated armor i guess. you had the gazer, the undead dragon + lich, death, and the so called dork arisen. what i didnt like was how there was little about the dragon's dogma actually in this. the undead dragon felt like such a side mission enemy in the story. the underlying imagery of the titular dragon as more of a biblical entity parallel to satan sorta got lost when they gave up on it and just went sorta generic goat devil baphomet instead. all in all, it wasnt as bad as i feared but i wouldnt really wanna play it again.

How do you even catch dragon plague "naturally"? Like I understand it can spread from other pawns but who was the first to catch it? Did capcom add some random pawns that were already infected day 1?

IMHO, there is no reason to not use this. Give your pawn as many explosive arrows as they need, it’s not hard given the glut of money you have in the expansion and easy access to them via vendors. Auto-include in my book.>Blighting ArrowNot as good as the others, save for maybe the blue slimes. But you can just eat a piece of rotten meat to get poisoned and have them chew on you to kill em, or lure blue slimes into Asps where they will also die via poison as they try to consume them.>Cascade/Stampede shotIt’s fine, an okay AoE skill that pawns use more than cloudburst. But I’m not sure if it’s of any good on bosses versus using the other skills. I personally don’t slot this in.

Holy shit the feeling of adventure in this game is even greater than in the first.It takes a while to go anywhere on foot but the topography is especially daunting, in many areas you're surrounded by high cliffs and hills that are half passable half unpassable so it's really rewarding to go off the beaten path sometimes. The draw distance for enemies is pretty good too, seeing a gryphon flying in the distance as you follow the long winding road from Vernworth to the left city feels memorable.

Just grab an eye, pull aggro, run into the hallway, and wait for them to bunch up at the turn. You can repeatedly drop and pick your bowling ball to keep it from fucking with you. You don't have to pinpoint them directly as the explosion from each shield coming off has small aoe that can chain together. And tell your pawns to wait, obviously.

Battle Frenzy IV is just a ridiculous attack buff, like 200 - 300%, in exchange for more damage taken, but you won't give a shit thanks the the immortal rings setup. You can also do 2x Ring of Inversion for safer and more consistent tankiness.The problem with meme rings is that pawns spend a considerable amount of time at critical health and don't understand they can't die, which triggers their "oh shit gotta run" behavior. Melee pawns spend a lot of time running back and forth from healing bubbles and sorcs cancel their spells for the same reason. Archers can hit from basically anywhere so that's not a problem for them. Archer pawns also always hit crit shots and rarely if ever miss. Calm is just the best inclination for Archers in general.
