I think I see anon's point. I would say there is ljust no way to "accurately" represent Amy in a setting where Sonic himself has deviations from the games. That's why I don't expect any such thing from the movies either. Sonic having a girlfriend in Archie is too much of a hurdle. You can have Amy aesthetically present as canon Amy but there is just no getting around that she's a very jealous person in the games and the only time she wasn't was when Sonic was revived from the dead.

Well since the conversation was already started. I agree, basically every character in Archie eventually becomes OOC and it's because each writer on the comic had their own agenda and plot for it. There's a definite difference between Sally pre-40, Sally post-40, Sally in the mid 2000's before Ian took over and then after he took over, then Ian himself started to chill out with her and eventually turned her into a lesbian in the reboot.I think the most consistent character in the comic is Bunnie and that's mostly because her actions are often the reaction of something happening to her but even she has a definite personality difference between early Archie and late Archie.Fiona is the most egregious example because even Ian started writing her OOC to how he wrote her when he first got onto the comic and he was the one who straight up retconed her old personality.At the end of the day though these differences in personality over time can *mostly* be explained with character growth because there was always a bit of that going on as well as worldbuilding even though the comic was supposed to be an endless adventure. However I think when shit really hit the fan for me was before even reboot and it was when Ian started writing torture porn for the characters for seemingly no other reason than because he thought it was dramatic. Bunnie getting legionized and Antoine actually straight up dying was something he was genuinely trying to do because he was at that point determined to split the FFs up to have Sonic eventually go his own way.
