I'd still advice the Simple Difficulty Tweaks mod, it doesn't do anything with default settings but it lets you reduce the amount of XP you get. There's three possible vortexes in the sunken down city the way to where Rovall's godsbane is etc, but magic targeting somehow breaks there. You need to be right next to absolutely everything for things to lock on. Pawns don't react to enemies until they get hit by them at times either.

Just do it like BBI where you use the same layouts but swap the enemies around and add traps. I dont know what the incentive would be for doing them though, could be that every 5 floors you clear you get a silly effect but also a debuff/enemy effect, that only applies for that run of the dungeon, so its incentivised to go deeper and deeper just for pure gameplay sake rather than merely rewards.

What's the best defensive skill for fighter pawns? I was trying out Vengeful Slash and the dummy just stands around waiting with it until a dragon sits on her. I assume the same thing would happen with Divine Defense. So I'm thinking either Flawless Guard or Hindsight Sweep now since it doesn't seem like there's any wrong way to use those even if pawns aren't the smartest about them. Maybe both, if I get rid of Gutting Skewer. She's straightforward though, so she does tend to climb a lot anyway and I've seen what I think was that skill chunk health on boss weakpoints and small enemies

Regular or upgraded tidal skill for warrior? The two extra hits do seem to do a ton of damage but they take so long and many enemies just keep beating the shit out of you while you do them. Versus regular tidal which is way faster.

Doing vortex with her she is usually at full hp due to getting full aggro and getting hit for billion damage in hard mode with boosted BFIV. I put blood pact on her for the halloween costume but will take it off after so she performs better for long term engagements or if she isn't main tanking when hired.
