The problem with the story and the way it has to be written is that these girls are real people not characters designed for a game first. Like yes we know how their characters are supposed to be and how they acted in character for a while but giving them actual interactions with those fake personalities is just off putting. You know how your oshi actually is and how she interacts with her Gen mates or frequent collab guests so seeing her the way she is in game is like watching her debut self pretending. Its not necessarily bad but its like if you've been keeping up with a long running series and go back to chapter 1 and see how different they were. Not to mention the stories are meant for actual babies considering there is literally ZERO friction since insane fans would take it personal.
