>>585661106Since you're getting close to the point where you get choices that actually matter, I'm going to explain a little more about how the game works. In the event tracker, when you unlock an event its name will turn green. But if you miss an event it will turn red (and it's name will change). The game is designed so you can see every event in one playthrough if you make the right choices, so there aren't events that are mutually exclusive.Anyway, there are things you can do that will cause you to just miss an event or two, but there are also things you can do that will trigger what we call a "red route." This occurs if you refuse to have sex with or sexually pursue certain characters (you get this choice with a handful of them). If you do this it will start locking you out of a lot of that character's events. But it doesn't stop there. The red routes also have a cascading effect where they eventually start locking you out of events for other, unrelated characters, or even lock you out of access to other characters' routes entirely. Basically refusing to fuck anyone in this game just punishes you. Having sex with them won't ever punish you, but refusing to will, and it gets pretty bad later and you'll miss important parts of the story (not to mention sex).The guide mod should warn you about any event that can cause stuff like this on the Hints page with a red (!) you can click on for details. But as a general rule of thumb, to avoid any of this happening, just fuck literally everyone and make every morally bad decision you possibly can, no matter what it is. The game will only reward for you it.

Begs the question of what the correlation with Maki's and Haruka's husbands being in the space war is with whatever their situations were in the real world. Going with the aliens representing death metaphor from NiB, you could assume they just died, which is definitely reasonable in the case of Maki, but with Haruka you do get the information later that her husband is still alive (to whatever degree that would matter). Perhaps you could be more abstract with the idea of death here and have it apply to just their marriage falling apart or something.

You can actually see this slightly earlier in the game during Ami's event Walking On Air if you tell her to call you Daddy or something to that effect. It flashes right at the end before making you choose a different name.
Second time Sensei gets referred to as Sekai in one of these. In an earlier one his name gets changed to Sekai in hexadecimal. You also have him wanting to put on Sekai's dress in Ode to a Marsh Warbler. Easiest way to take that I think is representing the cyclical nature of abuse.

I've recommended LiL to quite a few lolicons and they sense on their skin that it wss a game made for them. For my part, I think the great Sin that LiL depicts is dishonesty and sliminess. I view LiL more as a critique of the harem genre than I do on being into lolis. This is actually something of an important watershed for me. I think that's where the wizard routes come into play. Those act as a repetition of his actions with Maya, which is one of the primary things his brain is still blocking out, and it's a part of himself he's not willing to accept and is in denial about even while having total amnesia and minimal moral restraint; cf. the line after he beats off to Tsukasa taking a bath where he says that the charade is over. You could probably make an analogy with Io here, where the idea is presented of rebuilding her through her "destroying" her.
