They designed corrosion with the intent of it being a sort of vuln replacement but with numbers that can be tuned.Vuln can theoretically provide an indefinite amount of value for as long as you can deal damage. Meanwhile 50k corrosion for example provides 150k extra damage (which is the amount of extra damage you would get from a 300k hit on vuln) and then stops increasing your damage any further.What he considers a mistake is being able to apply high amounts of corrosion multiple times a turn (like with Saya), to the point that you've applied so much of it that you never run out. Once this happens, corrosion stops being the "limited vuln" they envisioned and becomes "vuln that increases your damage by 300% instead of 50%".
