Holy shit, this was a fight. Wow! Took me to the edge, and I barely pulled it off. Spamming Hiruko's tentacles with Demiurge dealt consistently good damage, and I needed Eurebetie to tank and continuously provide shield guarding. I had Granberia and Luke rotating as damage dealers as they died, and had Ilias revive and spam second acts as needed. Luka's sword combo of Gale thrust into heroism brave wall saved me a few times, and then I started having Lucifina Daystar-ing and Granberia using her counter as well to try and take two hits off each turn. Eventually wittled her down but I was in this fight for a good thirty minutes.

On the "Chaos" path its quite casually: "Hey, why don't you just merge together?" maybe cause its insane? why would anyone even want that? At what point do you actually become a collective consciousness trapped within a single body?The "Monster" path seems the favoured one. it’s claimed that the goal is to "save everyone" - complete lie. It’s only when you attack the Ilias Temple that it’s finally admitted that you are *not* actually saving everyone. And then, in the credits for the unified world in mw, things suddenly appear that make absolutely no sense, for instance, a new Sabasa. According to the logic the game itself establishes, everything is destroyed within the singularity, and only the souls are transferred. For the inhabitants, this would mean they simply merge into Hiroku’s belly. Instead a NPC just says "Yeah everythings fine!" That is utter rubbish.When you also consider how many alternative worlds are destroyed by the Breaker and how some people struggle with just two worlds merging it raises the question at what point is death not just better but how "happy" that end is potrayed... i cant even.

Hooh boy. Another tough one. This one actually took me multiple tries to get it. Granberia, Eurebetie, Ilias, and Lucifina were my winning squad. I have Ilias as a time mage, so she had Overquick and Second Act going on Eurebetie and Granberia. I started the fight with Micalea applying Defense Down with her spear, and then, with conditional damage bonus, Granberia was hitting the dimensional severance for about 60 billion, and typically going twice because of Second Act. She would survive the NLK's counters either because of Eurebetie's Shield Assemble and Adamantite Guard, or because she would still get off a dimensional severance, typically twice a turn. Lucifina was the goat. I simply had her Daystar and heal or rezz, and since NLK only attacked once per turn, I could essentially control and nullify her actions entirely and mitigate the counter through auto revives and Eurebetie's damage mitigation. NLK's killed me more than any of the other bosses in Part 3 so far. After San Ilia, I went up to the mansion just to pick up Chrome, and then I stumbled into this fight without any idea it was coming lol. Hell of a surprise! Also, the comedy bit with Luka's family intimidating all the undead in the mansion was great. Made me genuinely laugh out loud.

You know, I hadn't really thought about it until today since I've only recently finally created her weapon and started using her to help boost Okyuu's Sea Monsters Team (ironically given how much she hates her), but Paradox has an entire branch of the Scylla racial tree dedicated to Scylla Samurai. Both Illias and Alice play off of their VN counterparts, but Illias is an explicit direct continuation of her story and all of the consequences of that. Alice only really plays off of her VN counterpart in a meta sense (aside from the gag about her winning the lukabowl in the VN) She's here because she's the main heroine in the VN, but the plot doesn't really need Alice. Does this look good?As an aside, it's funny; when I got the idea to recreate the Undersea Temple there was less for me to work off of since it's really just a few maps and the celebration victory pose from the Secrets of the Sea Monsters story, and yet it feels easier to make than the watery caves because there's just such a drought of submerged resources and the difficulty of trying to make them myself. This was probably also influenced by me having done so many runs of the Sea Monsters Wild Hunt. The center of the temple is a 1:1 recreation of the battle arena that I'm building off of from there and the hallway is the hallway in the victory pose but merely re-shaded to match the colors of the rest of the temple, since it's probably supposed to look that way and just has light shining down on it. But seeing the other guy trying to make his own crossover thing and being reminded of the Neptunia one got me a little motivated again too.

Whatever you make is the shit and you just absorb everything around you. A pitfall I often fell into was refusing to do a thing because I feel I could never do it in time, that it's too late. I've told myself in the past it's pointless to start doing something because by the time I become good enough I'll already be a wage slave who'll be too tired from work to do anything else, or I refused to because I had less than an hour of free time for it, so I would barely get anything before I had to stop. But really, you have to be fine with using that little time. A little everyday is better than 4 hours one day a week. For example for drawing I found doing it daily also helped me because when I drew something that felt bad, I knew l would do another and I would do it right. Sometimes I get too into it and sacrifice sleep to keep going until I finish a drawing. I don't recommend it but I think it's something you end up doing once you get into whatever thing, and I don't regret it.Something that sounds dumb but helped me was making stuff for an unpopular ship I liked from an unrelated thing. Good or bad, you know you're making a huge difference. Somebody's got to make that thing you want to see be made a reality, and if nobody else can, you're going to do it. I look back at a lot of them and they're not that good now, but I I'm still very fond of them because they pushed me to improve.
