Y'know I have a theory that the reason why NetEase didn't launch a new character right beside season 10.5 was because they knew it would have bombed and it would have added to the "MARVEL RIVALS LE DEAD" grift which would have likely hurt the player return rate when they inevitably put Doom in the game. Ultimately I think they're doing way too much to avoid balancing the roaster and overhauling the matchmaking.Realistically if you're not playing a charactar that has - Low TTK- High Self-Sustain - Extremely OP Gimmick < Risk Then you're already a liability for your own team. And It's weird how they dont see the problem they're creating by isolating the meta to these three things, or they do but they're trying to circumvent nerfing the most blatantly OP characters by buffing very specific characters just enough to make you feel like you're on a leveled field when you're not, because god knows they're not going to over-buff Captain America, Namor, Moonknight, Squirrel Girl, Hulk, or Adam Warlock. Holy fuck can you imagine a season where Adam Warlock is genuinely good? He would be the strongest counter-dive character in the game for poke players and I can already imagine streamer/pro players sperging out and quitting the game in droves because they cant farm a backline without actually coordinating with a dive tank. As it is the game's already a pain in the ass to play because you have to relentlessly ban Gambit if you plan on playing melee, and on top of that you have to ban Dino.The way they balance this game is just so weird, it's legitimately something I do not understand and I guess it really is just their bottom line driving the state of the game. I hope it keeps dying though since eventually they'll have to do something otherwise no ones going to play anymore.

This is what killed the game, with top being the biggest reason and bottom the smallest:1) The rigged matchmaking. This is literally what drove the majority of the initial playerbase away and what killed ranked. Even people who believe it’s rigged think the matchmaking is flawed to some extent. No one likes playing a game where winning is futile.2) The balance changes combined with the one hero a month release. Every season it’s been the same story, new hero drops, they’re either dogshit or completely outclass the rest of the cast, then the following season a bunch of characters are overbuffed to bring them in line with the new guy, the rest are left to rot, and suddenly the characters you wanted to play who were hard to play are now even harder to play.3) The lack of role queue. I don’t want to hear any bullshit about queue times. The fact of the matter is that from day 1 the game has been plagued by DPS instalockers, people being forced to solo tank, and people being forced to fill healer. It adds to the previous problem.
