Yeah it’s a weird situation that still bothers my friend of Akane saved herself in the past by recreating the future she saw, but more like because she followed the rails she got to continue to exist. there’s a Q&A Uchikoshi did where he answers every single question such as confirming Akane getting a fever was because of Junpei making decisions that kills her in the past in the furnace so she poofs out of existence I think in those endings The thing I wanted to mention of the dual screen being a big thing that you miss out on in the port is that that part where it switches to “Akane Vision” in the original was actually a reveal that the bottom screen description text was actually Akane’s pov the whole time. All the “novel” text was actually Akane describing the future scene she was seeing in the past, and also shows that she proceeded through the same rooms as Junpei based on whatever he did. I think it’s also that all the puzzles used the touch screen, all of them were Akane helping Junpei with the answers which is why the end has a significance where Junpei says ‘this time I’m going to do it’ and the game literally goes upside down and you have to flip your DS to represent Junpei now being the one sending the answer to Akane. Anon playing VLR how do you feel on Sigma vs Junpei? Junpei feels more like the usual type of Everyman/average joe whereas Sigma feels much more like his own character but he’s also a lot more fun I think and charismatic. Junpei was kind of awkward and serious with his interactions with everyone (with some occasional jokes) but Sigma I think is pretty lighthearted and joking with whoever he pairs with for the most part.
