I decided to get back into this game and I have the strangest technical issue right after installing (not installed on this system previously) that I can't find anyone else having but maybe my search-fu is just weakeverything works fine except I get a mostly black screen on character select (anything that is 3d graphics is missing, UI is fine) and no audio for the first 10-15 minutes the game is runningafter that audio just appears and if I go to character select after that it shows up finebut the graphics in-game are fine and the game runs fine, everything works except the audio and character selectionthe game also always hangs up and crashes when trying to close it via any meanstried all the usual shit like running as admin, newer/older drivers etc and nothing

A lot of MMOs don't know how to keep content relevant when they have vertical progression. I wouldn't mind another MMO where it takes literal years to hit max level and be able to equip high level gear as long as the progression is properly paced and there's stuff to do other than just kill shit.

The important thing is to combo Hammer 3 and Shredder Gyro through Blast Gyro.Herald is literally autopilot for Swiftness alone, you'll never run out of Energy unless you put on more Facets, and if they're on when you mount, they'll reapply when you dismount. The same build can automatically apply Might/Fury/ or Regen/Protection as well as Quickness, but at that point you start having to hold back to avoid draining your Energy too soon. There's also exactly one instance of Superspeed so you're still hamstrung compared to Herald.

You don't have to do the first expansion first. You could jump straight to like, End of Dragons if you wanted to do 10 minutes of a story quest to unlock a new map, fishing, your boat, and shit. So not completely story free, but very story minimal. Especially during leveling.
